Majik yawned, the fire had almost burnt out and she couldn't be bothered to collect fire wood and relight the fire with a flint. She shot a blast of fire from her hands. "Much Better." She smiled widely.
"Isn't that abuse of your powers?" A small, but well defined, dwarf said before taking a chunk of apple from off her knife.
Majik rolled her eyes. "Isn't using your great, great grandma's favourite dagger as cutlery abuse of your weapons?"
The dwarf looked at the dagger and polished it off. "point taken." She giggled and picked up a bone chucking it behind her, there was a high pitched squealing as a large spider caught the bone and continued to consume it. Majik shuddered.
"Why does she keep that thing?" She edged away from the giant spider as it came and lay next to her, it was drooling on her staff. "Why does it keep doing that, I don't like you!" she said slowly to the spider that just squealed happily and shuffled closer. "speaking of which where is Moon?"
"Where do you think?" Sprocket replied as they both looked other to a tent thrown together next to a large tree, slumped against it was a elf, her long blond hair loose save for the band of brightly coloured cloth around her forhead. She sat, her eyes glazed giggling and snickering.
"How much has she had this time?" Majik raised an eyebrow to the dwarf who just shrugged. "Have you ever thought with her when she's sober?"
"Nope, well sort of but....she knocked me out before the battle even started." The dwarf frowned and made a fuss of the spider, it squealed happily.
"My point exactly, she has this obsession with shiny thing too." Majik's eyes lit up for a second then went dark and a sly grin came across her face. "Watch this." She took a small polished silver pendant from her belt bag and dangled it in front of the fire, the light making it flash. The elf's eyes widened and despite being high from nug weed she got to her feet and shoot over.
"My shiny!" She snatched the necklace from Majik's hands. "I love shinies, they're so sparkly.2 She giggled uncontrollably as she watched the necklace in the light. The dwarf raised an eyebrow.
"No wonder you hide the money from her, she would have buried them or something by now." Sprokect paused for the moment. "Or eaten them...speaking of which."
Majik yelped grabbing her necklace as the elf was trying to swallow it. "I mean is it the nug weed or is she just not all there?" She placed her hand square in the middle of the elf's face while she protested about 'her' shiny being taken. "I've met Lyrium addicts that were easier to control than h-AAAARGHHH" Majik screamed as the elf bit her.
The dwarf laughed and slapped her thigh. "You gotta love the little demon." Majik waved her swore hand about and frowned.
"I think we better head to bed, it's gonna be a long day in Denerim, I have to babysit." Majik said dully.
"What do you mean, she's not that bad, just leave her looking at the gems or swords or something." Sprocket answered back brightly.
"It's not her I'm worried about, I swear Gorim sees us come through the gates and tries to hide." The mage frowned as sprocket grinned stupidly at her. "Right I'm going to my tent....and can you keep that thing from following me again, I had nightmares last time I woke up with it staring all six of it's beady eyes at me." The dwarf laughed and wrapped her arms around the spider and snuggled it, it squirmed trying to followed the mage.
