Fight It Out
This is a story I wrote a while back, and have just re-found. I don't really agree with it anymore as now I see Lucy as more of a dreamer than a fighter but I thought I'd post it anyway xx
Lucy wasn't like her cousins. She couldn't pour out her feelings to people like Rose could, she couldn't feel better by blasting things with magic like James, and she wasn't immune to unpleasant emotions like Dominique or Victoire.
The only thing which made Lucy feel better when she was angry or upset was a muggle pastime called boxing. She had no idea why, but hitting the plush oval over and cured all her woes.
Bang, bang, bang- her gloved fists slammed into the punching bag her dad had so unwillingly installed in her extended wardrobe.
Lucy was sure she didn't belong in the magic world. She attended Hogwarts and did well but she was DIFFERENT, the 9 little letters which spelled nightmares for a self-conscious teenage girl.
But at least she had this.
It was the worst day of her life when the OWL results came out. She hadn't done badly, that was the problem. She'd done amazingly well. She'd smashed all records before set besides those by her aunt Hermione.
'Lucy Weasley's a swot'
'Lucy's a snob'
'Lucy thinks she's so great'
'Stay away from Lucy'
The school bullies taunted, and every word stung.
She ran away to find Lysander, her best friend/boyfriend only to be greeted by the sight of him snogging her own sister, Molly.
BANG,BANG
her gloved fists connected with the punch bag that the room of requirement had so kindly produced.
'stupid (punch) Lysander (punch) Molly (punch) all of them (punch)'
She slipped down the punching bag and landed on the ground, sobbing.
No-one came.
Yes, kinda depressing I know. I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone...
If anyone who reads Melody is reading this then sorry for not updating! I have items block big time on that story...
Review!
May the red velvet cupcakes be with you,
Teddy xx
