Hunter was sitting at his desk doing some late night homework, it was probably somewhere around two in the morning. A bad storm going on outside, he sighed and rubbed his eyes. He was never going to get this assignment done, he could barely concentrate. So he decided he should probably call it a night, when suddenly.. there was a thunderous bang right outside his window, Hunter jumped and stared out at the raging sky when the power gave out, emerging him into darkness. Hunter can honestly say he screamed, lightening lit up his room and Hunter had dove into his bed, huddled under the blanket, trembling in fear. He grabbed his phone from its charger and dialed the first number he could think of.

"Hello?" The rough voice of a person interrupted from their sleep answered.

Hunter winced, he didn't know what to say without sounding like a complete baby..

"Sebastian... the powers out." He said in what he hoped was his normal voice.

There was a pause on the other line, Hunter had to check to make sure they weren't disconnected.

"So..?" Sebastian asked.

"So... I need you to come to my dorm..." He muttered.

"Hunter... its two in the goddamn morning!"

Hunter winced again, he was about to cry.

"Sebastian... please... just... come to my dorm and bring a flashlight.. I don't know where mines at."

Sebastian sighed and hung up the phone, Hunter let out a whimper. It was about 15 minutes later when his door flew open and banged against the wall, Hunter gave a yelp and fell fromm his bed in shock. Sebastian stood there, armed with a flashlight.

"Alright, I'm here." He murmured as he shut the door behind him as he walked in.

Hunter just nodded and watched as Sebastian came in, he felt safe with the other Warbler there. Sebastian noticed Hunter watching him.

"Why'd you call anyways.. what's wrong with the power going out? It wont matter if you're asleep you know."

Hunter sighed. "Its nothing, you would understand." He muttered.

Sebastian shone the flashlight on Hunter's face. "Try me, Clarington."

Hunter stared at the floor and pulled his knees to his chest. "I'm afraid of the dark..." He whispered.

Sebastian stared at him as if he didn't quite believe him.

"Are you serious..?" He asked.

Hunter just nodded, his bottom lip trembling. Sebastian raised an eyebrow and let out a sigh.

"That I wasn't expecting." He murmured as he sat beside the other boy.

"Yeah..." Hunter whispered, still staring at the floor.

Sebastian felt awkward, he didn't know how to comfort Hunter at all. You could tell this wasn't his forte.

"Well... that's... interesting..?" He frowns.

"Not really... I mean... its normal... right? I mean, everyone's afraid of something." Hunter says, looking up at Sebastian.

Sebastian chuckled. "I'm Sebastian fucking Smythe. I'm not afraid of a damn thing."

Hunter frowned. "That can't be true, everyone has a fear, they just don't want to admit it... so tell me, Sebastian. What are you afraid of..?"

Sebastian looked away biting his lip. "I'm afraid of someone leaving me..." He whispers softly.

Hunter looked at him with a small smile. "Sebastian, I promise not to leave you, will you promise to come to my room if the power ever goes back out..?"

Sebastian looked at Hunter with wide eyes. "Really..?"

Hunter nodded, Sebastian's eyes filled with tears.

"I promise." He whispered.

"Sebastian, will you stay with me..? I feel better with you here.." He said.

Sebastian nodded and laid back on the bed, wrapping his arms around Hunters waist. The storm slowly retreated and soon the moon shone brightly in the night sky. Sebastian kept his promise and made it a point to come to Hunter when there was a black out and in return, Hunter kept his, never leaving Sebastian.
