It was a cold night in the Capitol of Panem. With fellow citizens crowding the square where President Snow was to announce the 75th Hunger Games, also known as the 3rd Quarter Quell. They all remember their grandparents telling them about the first Quarter Quell, where there was an election to select tributes. And the fellow parents telling them about the second Quarter Quell, where there was twice the amount of tributes. And now, they waited in anticipation for what twist the third Quarter Quell would bring.

They applauded as the old, white haired President approached his podium with his face on two massive screens for all to see. On the podium was a gold envelope with the number 75 on it. Once over there, he began speaking in a loud, deep voice.

"People of Panem, it is now time once again for the Hunger Games. As you know, it is the third Quarter Quell. So I have an envelope that will reveal to us what we have in store for our tributes." The man stated while holding up the envelope. He quickly opened it to reveal a white slip of paper.

"For the seventy-fifth Hunger Games, to prove that the Capitol is the ultimate power, this year's tributes will be from an entirely different fandom." He read. Everyone was shocked, surprised, and confused. Since nobody can leave the country of Panem, and due to the fact that they lacked "legitimate" television, nobody knew what a fandom was. The president continued reading.

"The fandom that will be competing shall be selected from a lottery, which shall be performed right now." He read. He then unlocked a small compartment on the podium which contains a small bowl with a bunch of slips of paper on it. He presented it on top of the podium for all to see. No one particulary knew what he was doing. The old man dug his hand into the bowl and fished around the sea of paper. He did this for about thirty seconds, making sure they were well mixed. Then, he placed out a single slip, out of random.

"The fandom that will be competing in the third Quarter Quell is…" he cut himself off and waited about ten seconds for suspense. He stood there, almost as if there was dramatic music playing. And then, he announced it. "…South Park." He finished as he read the slip. Nobody had ever heard of it before, and for the first time watch the games as complete strangers. To be honest, no one really liked or approve of this idea. But they would've probably been sent to a concentration camp or killed if they didn't comply. The square exploded in forced applause. This would be the Seventy-Fifth Hunger Games.
