Today is what she thought was just any other day. A cool breeze came by and stirred the clothes she was hanging up on the line. The list of chores seemed never ending. The middle aged woman went inside her home and sat at the kitchen table putting her hands in her face. For a moment, she felt like falling asleep; just so she could dream…about her family. Being with the both of them: her beloved husband and intelligent son. Alas, this wasn't going to happen and had no idea when she'd be reunited with them both. Not knowing when this was ever going to happen broke her heart.

Chi-Chi always had a strong persona. She had to bury her sad thoughts deep inside herself. She then told herself "I need to mentally strong…for Gohan…f-for…Goku" Chi-Chi got up from the table and went to the living room to find a framed photograph of her family when Gohan was about 3. She smiled and fought back tears at the photo. "Those were the days, so...peaceful…and Goku never went off and fought any monsters and…he was always here…safe with me… agh! That's enough...I better get back to my chores"

She opened the door to the front of the house to take the clothes off the laundry line. Chi-Chi then felt something off as she stepped outside. Something didn't feel right with her...she knew something was off..."oh it's probably nothing! I need to stop worrying!"

She continued down her list of chores and wondered what time it was. It was still early and she was already done with almost all the housework. "Oh my I'm getting quicker at finishing up everything…I still wish I had some help." There was still so much to do and the petite woman couldn't reach high places without some sort of assistance which is where her husband would come in handy (even though he didn't care for chores, he didn't like when his wife was angry)she did enjoy Goku's help…just the thought of him trying really warmed her heart. Once again, she had to stop the tears from falling. Even though she saw him not too long ago, she missed him.

She felt paranoid as well. "What if something happened to him? He's…supposed to get that heart virus…I don't think he brought that medicine he got! No…I keep doing this! I can't worry about this right now!" the chores weren't a good enough distraction. Chi-Chi decided it was time to find something else to do. She went outside and just lay on the grass to look at the sky like she has done before only, not alone. She had that feeling of emptiness inside that could only be fixed by Gohan and Goku. She continued to stare up into the sky as she saw a shadow from the distance.

"Oh! Maybe that's Gohan! Maybe…maybe he didn't want to fight and wants to come back home with mommy! Wait...I mustn't jump to any conclusions, for all I know, it could be one of their little 'gang friends'"

She saw the body come closer and could barely make the figure out…until they landed. She saw the person come closer and realized that it was Yamcha. But he wasn't alone. He was carrying a sleeping Goku on his shoulder. Chi-Chi knew it. She knew something was wrong. She was never wrong about these types of things. She then lost herself. Tears feel down her cheeks as Yamcha explained to her that her husband had fallen victim of the heart virus.
