Important Note: If anybody is interested in taking this idea/one-shot and making a story out of it. Go right ahead.

This takes place during Season 6 Episode 9

Liv and Tyler had just used the ascendant to bring Elena and Damon back from the 1994 dimension. But Damon didn't return. Where did he go …?

In a sudden flash of white, Damon was standing in room with white walls and suddenly Emily Bennett appeared before him.

"Emily?" Damon said.

"Hi, Damon." Emily said.

"Where am I? What happened? Where's Elena?" Damon asked.

"Elena is back home now and this place is a stationary realm between the real world and the 1994 dimension that you and Bonnie were stuck in." Emily explained.

"Why did you bring me here? I'm trying to bring Bonnie back home!" Damon said.

Then Emily explained that Damon had a choice to stay in the 1994 Dimension with Bonnie or go back to the real world. She also explained what Liv did. After getting over his anger at the stupid blond witch, he asked why she chose him and not Elena. She told him that it wasn't about choosing, but that he was the only choice. Emily explained that he had a special bond/connection to the 1994 Dimension because it was her magic and the magic other Bennett witches that originally teleported him and Bonnie to the 1994 dimension.

"Then, why can't you freaking use magic to send us back home?!" Damon said loudly.

Emily frowned at his rudeness, but continued.

"That type of magic can't be done again." She said flatly.

Damon just looked at her with a sneer but just sighed in the end because he knew a loosing battle when he saw one.

"What do I have to do to stay with Bonnie." He Said.

"You'll stay?" She was surprised.

Damon just looked at her as if she was stupid.

"Of course, I'll stay. Bonnie's my friend." He said.

After getting over her slight shock, she just smiled and said that she will handle everything.

But before Emily could perform her hocus pocus, he asked her to deliver a message to his brother (He didn't consider delivering a message to Elena because is doesn't remember shit about him or at least not the good parts of him). Emily said that she will deliver the message. He just told her to tell Stephan that he loves him, to move on with his life, that he stayed for a friend (aka Bonnie), and that he should really give vampire Barbie a shot because she is hot.

After getting the slightly weird message, Emily teleported him back to the 1994 Dimension.

In another flash of white, Damon found himself on the street just outside Elena's house. He immediately heard someone crying and saw Bonnie completely distraught. He flashed to her and said her name.

"Bonnie." Damon said with a gentle voice.

Bonnie looked up with wide eyes and without thinking she launched herself at him to hug him. He just her hugged her back. As they continued hugging she asked the following.

"Where were you? Where's Elena? Why did you leave?" Bonnie asked.

Damon then explained everything that happened with Liv and Emily. She was surprised that he decided to stay with her but she just gave him a watery smile and hugged him.

"Thank you for staying with me." Bonnie said with tears falling.

"There was no choice to make. Besides, I love annoying you." Damon said as he gave her a smirk with a slight smile.

"You're such an ass." Bonnie said.

Damon just laughed.

"Come on little witch, let's go home."
