Idiot
"You're an idiot, Charlie."
It was Olivia Vertigo's most common phrase, for a good reason.
Charlie Bone, her boyfriend, was reckless, hasty and irresponsible. Olivia would often wonder why in the world she fell in love with such an idiot. Her best friend Emma had commented that everyone had their good and bad points. Olivia knew that. It was just...Charlie's bad points were often more noticeable than his good points, creating another bad point.
True, he was kind, generous and sometimes smart, but she wondered why her heart had chosen Charlie of all people. Someone more responsible, more logical would have been so much wiser, but she reasoned that it wouldn't suit her extravagant nature if it was a quiet, logical person. Though, many times, Olivia just wished that Charlie would wake up in time for their dates. But she knew that she wouldn't have it any other way.
"You're an idiot, Charlie."
She said it again.
"But you're my idiot."
She thought it again.
"And I love you because you're an idiot."
She felt it again.
