A/N: Hey everyone! This little ficlet is my first foray into writing my own fanfiction. I got the idea for it off of a little one panel comic I saw. Anyway, I hope you like it! Any comments are appreciated. Enjoy!

Crossed Wires

"Okay, I've got the sequence."

"Good. Get on with it, will ya Carter? I think Daniel 's about to have a heart attack." Jack shifted impatiently.

"Indeed." Teal'c inclined his head in agreement. " DanielJackson appears most distressed."

"Sam, hurry!"

"Alright, Daniel. Keep your pants on." She took a deep breath. "Here goes nothing. Input…then VCR1… next this one…" Sam continued to push buttons as her teammates watched in anticipation. "…and finally record. There."

"….."

"Uh, Carter. I might be totally wrong here, so correct if I'm wrong. Isn't something s'posed to happen?"

"I don't know what went wrong, sir. I put in the right sequence." She moved behind the television in Daniel's apartment and started checking the wires. "Maybe I didn't hook up the VCR right."

Daniel bit his nail worriedly as he watched Sam work. "I'm gonna miss General Hospital?"

"For the love of—. Daniel it's just a t.v. show. Carter, hurry up and fix it so we can go. We're gonna miss the start of the hockey game. Again I might add." Jack grumbled.

"Okay, okay." Sam stared at the wires connecting the t.v. set and VCR and reached toward two of the wires. "Maybe if I switch these…"

"…."

"Uh Carter…"

"O'Neill, is it common for the lights to go out when one is trying to program a VCR?"

"No T. It's not."

"I see." He looked down. "I do believe that DanielJackson has lost consciousness."

Jack sighed. "Great." He turned to Sam, who was pulling her hair in frustration. "Of all the people in the world, YOU can't program a VCR."

He looked at the tickets in his hand, sighed again, and threw them in the trash can. By the time everything was fixed, they would be useless. "T, you wake Daniel up. Carter work on getting the power back on. I'll go order some pizza. I don't think we'll be making the game tonight."
