She's not supposed to feel this way about him, but it's not easy to make it stop. He loves her in a way he shouldn't, but there's no way to halt the feelings. falling for a each other isn't as easy as they thought….

Fred Weasley stirred, his eyelashes fluttering. As he sat up on the couch he saw what had awoken him from his deep slumber: Hermione Granger stood on the other side of the common room dressed in freshly stained robes and a broken bottle of ink on the floor next to her. He stretched, yawned, and walked over to the girl slowly.

"What do you want, Fred?" Hermione asked, starting to take off the inky uniform piece. But he couldn't reply. Fred was too busy noticing how cute her lips looked while puckered in frustration, and the way the firelight in the Gryffindor common room lit her face beautifully. He was suddenly aware that they were very much alone in the common room while Hermione stood in a thin red camisole and Hogwarts knee-length skirt, shivering.

"You must be freezing" Fred observed, handing her his big red quilt with a large red F in the middle.

"Thanks Fred!" She said, eagerly taking the blanket. Hermione wondered why the normally annoying prankster was being so nice to her…? Fred picked up her robes, pointed his ebony wand at them and announced "Removatic Stalinco". The ink disappeared from her clothing and she grinned. "Wow! I didn't know you knew how to remove ink! Thanks again" She marveled, reaching for her robe in Fred's hand. As Hermione stretched for the clothing in his hand, their skin touched for only a second, but it was enough to turn her hand into a livewire.

Fred grinned and offered her his arm. "May I escort you to your dormitory, my lady?" He asked as he attempted to hold in his laughter.

"But of course, Kind Sir!" She giggled, taking his arm. Her whole body was tingling as they skipped across the common room, laughing the whole way. He bowed to Hermione as they reached the girl's stairs.

"Goodnight, Fair Maiden" Fred said, kissing her hand before dashing up the boys stairs quickly. Then Hermione remembered.

"FRED! HEYYY FREEEDDD! YOUR BLANKET!!" She called, speed walking to his stairs. A few moments later her leaned over the banister.

"Keep it. It's yours, princess. Goodnight" He winked and walked away, leaving her breathless. She stood for a moment before heading back to her stairs in a daze. She wondered what was up with her. Normally she hated the twins! They always made life so hard for her. But tonight…tonight everything was different….

She held the blanket around her, and it made her feel closer to Fred. And for that exact reason, she held the blanket tighter.
