A/N: This is kind of weird, not the best and I have no idea where it came from, but I figured I'd post it anyway.
Disclaimer: I don't own Camp Rock or anything you recognize from the movie.
She always knew she'd spend the rest of her life with Shane; there was never a doubt in her mind. So when Mitchie left him for Nate and – in an attempt to get over her – he'd asked her out, she wasn't one bit surprised. It had gone on well – which seemed to surprise him, but not her – and they were making plans for another as he dropped her off in the early morning hours.
It picked up like a whirlwind romance. Shane was always sending flowers or chocolates or little notes just to say 'Hi'. He was always showing up where she was and escaping to lunch with her. There were even the occasions he'd buy her gifts – jewelry, clothes, anything she would want – just because he wanted to. It was like out of those books that she'd always kept hidden under her bed. And she loved every minute of it. It just confirmed her beliefs. She'd be spending the rest of her life with him.
Her mom was overjoyed with Shane being her boyfriend. "He's a good catch honey. Fantastic job." She'd say whenever she was around when she'd come home from another date. She knew her mom only said that because he was rich and famous, but she didn't care, because she was happy with him. Shane's family hadn't taken to her too well at first, but once they realized she had tons of her own money and they didn't need to worry about her stealing Shane's they got along great.
It was after Nate and Mitchie's break up things between them started to go down hill. Shane slowly started coming around less. The gifts and flowers became few and far between. And then Nate called her, asking if she could keep her boyfriend in check because Shane'd been spending an awful lot of time with Mitchie lately and Nate was not happy about it. And that's when she knew she had to do something about it, because she wasn't supposed to be the rebound girl he was with till his ex was available again. She was supposed to be – will be – with Shane for the rest of her life.
And when she knew Shane was only days, hours maybe, away from breaking up with her, she realized what she had to do. She searched around the house, trying to find what she needed for her spontaneous actions, and grinned when she came across a bottle of whiskey in her mom's room and sleeping pills in the bathroom.
She went back to her room, making herself cozy on her too large bed. She smiled as she twisted the cap off the whiskey bottle and took a swig of it, making a face as the liquid burned down her throat. With a quick shake of the head she smirked and took another, longer one. She sat there for a few minutes, just drinking from the bottle and looking around her room, remembering random things about Shane. When she was satisfied with her memories she grabbed the pill bottle and popped the cap off, emptying them in to the palm of her hand. She smiled down at them and popped them in her mouth, swallowing them down with another chug from the bottle.
She wasn't sure how long it took, but when her actions finally were effective she was perfectly content, because she had been with Shane for the rest of her life.
A/N: See? Weird. And not that great. But I'm one of those people that once an idea's in my head there's no getting rid of it till I do something with it. So I did something with it. Oh well. I don't even like this pairing. It's a bit lacking when it comes to emotion, but I imagined her making the spontaneous decision... then just following through with it with a determined state of mind.
