There was an annoying song playing-well, it was only probably annoying because it was so repetitive. Over and over, that vile diner music...I shuddered just hearing the record stop, the needle move, and the music starting over once again.
I don't know why I stopped here-a diner? I don't even eat...or drink for that matter. i just knew something was going to happen. What? I don't know. all I knew is that it would be here, in this exact spot.
My name is Jasper Whitlock. I have been living since the 1600's, and I am a vampire. It's a lot to drop on someone, I know.
The woman behind the counter, one at about 20 years, smiled at me.
"What can I get you sir?" She asked, fake niceness and lust in her voice. She also had lust running through her-I knew this only because of my special abilities; I can feel emotions. The woman stood there patiently, fluttering her dirty blond lashes. She was nice looking i guess, but not my type. For two reasons, one, she's a human, two, I'm not into blond girls. Never was, and never will be.
Behind me was a quiet tinkling bell sound from the door opening again Wind pounded into the room, and I stiffened, waiting to smell the blood running through this human.
There was no blood. Only the smell of candy...maybe sweets? I wasn't fully sure, but I knew this person was a vampire. Our smell was more recognizable than other; it smelled nicer to humans, and it didn't leave my throat burning.
I didn't turn.
"I wouldn't like anything Ma'am." i finally responded, my drawl leaking through my tone. She looked-and felt-disappointed. After the human walked away, I turned to face the vampire.
Everything stopped.
She had large beautiful golden eyes, and a cute, pointy, pixie face. Her hair was different than most womens'; cropped to her ears, jet black, and pointing around like a halo around her heart-shaped face. She was tiny, and thin to the extreme. Her body was clad in a cute skirt and blouse in a mute blue shade. She gave me a pearly white smile, revealing all her razor sharp teeth.
The mystery woman was most gorgeous creature I had ever laid eyes on.
She sauntered over, and stopped in front of me.
"You must be Jasper...I am Alice." She-Alice-said, looking up into my dark crimson eyes. Alice-the name fit her perfectly, but it confused me how she knew my name. Mind reader maybe? "No, I am not. I am a future seer. You are an emotion reader aren't you?" I nodded slowly. It was strange having someone know so much about you by just a simple glance.
Then, she went on her tip-toes, and stared into my eyes.
"I have been waiting for you for my entire life..."
I felt the love running through both of us, and I leaned down to kiss her lips, cold stone lips that begged me to taste them.
I smiled at my love as our first meeting rushed through my mind in a blink of an eye. Her tiny head leaned against my chest and listened; listened for an un-beating heart. She slowly looked up at me, and did the cutest thing I had seen in a long time. The last thing i had seen that was as cute, was when she had rushed around the house dressed as a little bunny rabbit for Halloween last year, even taking a liberty of shaking her behind-which was even blessed with a round bunny tail. Yes, it was cuter than that.
Her big golden eyes met mine, and she hummed a 50's diner melody.
Awww! I love Jasper and Alice! I wrote this fanfic because I recently found out that they had met in a diner in the 50's. i wrote it out, and I thought I might as well post a little one shot.
love, the one and only,
