Chloe looked down at the picture she held in her hands and she sat on her bed. She couldn't believe that he was gone. That he had really left. That she would probably never see him again. She had left CTU as quick as she could. She couldn't stand to be there, all it did was make her think of him.

She knew that she was being stupid. She knew he wasn't thinking of her. She knew he didn't feel the same way as she did. Hell, she knew he probably didn't even like her, the only reason he gave her the time of day was because of her computer skills. That was it. Not because he was in love with her, not because he wanted her, not because of anything except that she could, and had for that matter, save his ass. And that he could trust her, and she trusted him. His trust meant the world to her. She had always done everything she could to help him if he thought it was right, whether it was to lie to someone, or violate CTU protocol, just hoping that something would make him fall for her.

So many nights, she'd lie awake, thinking of all the what if's that could bring them together, how he would realize that he loved her, that he needed her, all the time knowing it was impossible, but still clinging to her false hope, it being the only thing that she had left.

A tear fell down her face as she stared at the picture. It was on of her, Chase, and Jack. It was one of her favorites. She looked at the face of the man she loved, and wished he was right there beside her. There were so many things she had wanted to say to him before he left, but she just couldn't get them out, find the right moment. So he had gone. Leaving her with so much to say, and no one to say it to.

Sobs tore threw her as she clutched the picture to her chest and curled into a ball. Jack was gone now. She couldn't change that. He couldn't be a part of her life anymore, even if it was only a small part. A part that meant every thing to her. Chloe laid down on her bed as she sobbed. She didn't know what she would do. She needed jack. Even if he didn't need her, she needed him. Jack was gone, forever, and he was never coming back.
