For the love of an apple

Title: For the love of an apple

Rating: K+

Pairings: Drapple (Draco and an apple) with a tiny, tiny, tiny bit of Dramione (Draco and Hermione)

Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter.

Authors note: Well this is my first fanfic, so please be nice. I know it's not very good, but my friend suggested I wrote a drapple fanfic, so I tried. Hope it's not too bad though.

Draco was in the slytherin common room, alone. Well, that is unless you counted the green apple in his hand, except it wasn't just an apple it was the apple. The apple that Draco held so close to his heart, this apple was the one he loved. It was his secret though; he only spent time with the apple when they were alone. Who knows what would happen if Hermione found out? There were already rumours going around Hogwarts about him dating Pansy Parkinson. If Hermione found out about this apple, not only would their relationship be finished, but there was a high chance she would tell everyone in the school. With his mission from Voldemort occupying most of his time, having people follow him around making fun of him was the last thing he needed. But for now it seemed like no –one was around. Just him and the fruit he loved.

He caressed her soft skin, inhaled her sweet, sharp scent, turned around and there stood Goyle, looking more confused than ever.

"I can explain..."

"I'm not sure I want to know."

Goyle backed away; he had no desire to hear the complicated story about Draco and his Apple.

Draco heaved a sigh of relief, he was once again alone. Well… alone for about 2 minutes. Then Hermione burst through the door, things were about to get complicated…

"Grainger, what is it? How do you even know where this place is?"

"You're forgetting that I know everything about Hogwarts, and I know what you were doing with that apple! We've only been together for 2 weeks and your already thinking about other people!"

"I swear, it isn't what it looks like."

"Well it looks like you're considering having a relationship with that apple in your hand."

"Ok, it is what it looks like. But it's complicated."

"No it isn't Draco, it's the apple or me!"

"Well… I'm sorry but I can't deny my feelings for this apple."

"Then that's the end of our relationship."

And with that, Hermione stormed out of the room.

For the love of an apple, he let her go. His feelings for her were no longer genuine. All he wanted now was the affection of one special fruit. That one apple was now his entire world. He had chosen what is right over what was normal, and he wouldn't dream of having it any other way.
