No idea why but somehow, my music teacher inspired me to write this story. I hope you'll enjoy.
-beep, beep, beep –
Gibbs woke from his slumber, finding himself under his boat, covered in sawdust. His whole body was sore and he had a light headache from drinking too much bourbon during the previous hours. When he managed to get his thoughts straight, he realized that he had an incoming call. On their weekend off! He scrubbed his hand down his face and then, without bothering to check the Caller ID growled "This better be damn important."
"Gibbs!" When Abby's anxious voice reached him and suddenly he was wide awake. "Oh my god! Oh my god, oh my god!"
"Abby! Calm down. Are you okay?" He asked, getting up to his feet and brushing the sawdust from his shirt.
"Gibbs! I dreamed and Ari shot you and then Ziva started killing the whole team but you came and tried to rescued us and when … Kate! Oh my god, Kate! …"
"Abs! I'm fine! Ziva isn't gonna kill anyone." He tried to reassure the nervous, apparently hyperventilating woman.
"Yes but what about…" She sounded confused and was obviously overwhelmed by her emotions. "I miss Kate, Gibbs! You know if you'd die we would never be okay again, we need you, Gibbs. Please, please don't die!" By then, Abby sounded as if she was about to burst into tears and Gibbs made his way upstairs to drive to her apartment.
"Hey, I'm telling you it's okay. Just stay on the phone, I'll be there in a couple minutes." He said and left his driveway in his usual driving style.
Little did they know that with his cell in his hand, he couldn't dodge the two dunk guys on the next crossroad…
Please don't hate me for doing this. Just wait how it goes on. ;)
