Based on 'Education for Leisure' by Carol Ann Duffy (the Poet Laureate), and her original is vastly better than mine.

From Jim's POV. First fic, so any reviews would be greatly appreciated

I own neither 'Education for Leisure' nor 'Sherlock' (BBC)

Today I'm going to kill somebody. Don't care who.
I've been obscure long enough, and now
I will be God. It is a dull, boring, normal day,
a sort of rage, with people strolling through the streets.

I watch a man start home from work, strap an explosive to his chest.
I did it at school. Shakespeare. It was emotions,
alien, we both know it's a foreign language.
I sigh out talent on the glass to write your name.

I am a genius. I could be anything I wanted, with
half a thought. But today I want to change a life.
Your life. The cat avoided her. The cat
was proof of my genius, and you know it is unimportant.

I let the old woman free. I press the button.
I know that it is good. The girl is panicking.
Once in a while, I sit at my computer, the
voice changer on. They really appreciate my signature.

There is so much left to kill. I dial the numbers
and tell you you're talking to a superstar.
You summon me. I get my snipers and go out.
The pool glistens slightly. I want you to burn.
