This is me just trying too re-create a scene from final fantasy 10.

She walked down the wooden ramp and stood looking out into the calm sea. The waves had only just settled as the sun was setting, the trees were swaying quietly and all eyes were locked on to her. She turned around and looked at lulu, she silently nodded. Her bare feet touched the cool water and she proceeded to the centre of at least ten coffins. At first it seemed she was standing in very shallow water, but the coffins were deep under her feet as well as around her. I didn't know what to think, was this magic or just part of this so called 'sending'.

Once again, Lulu knew that I needed information and she explained what this tradition was. It sounded like a funeral, sending away the dead, but this type of sending lived up to its name.

She started to move and my attention was instantly attracted to her. She swayed her staff from left to right and then began to dance; now I was getting very confused. Then it happened, the fire burning red on the torches instantly turned blue I jumped back in shock and bumped into lulu still standing there, eyes fixed on Yuna. She was gracefully spinning moving her staff around as the pyerflys that Wakka mentioned earlier started to come out of the coffins still in the water.

A local lady fell to her knees in tears as another tried to comfort her, she began to sing quietly, then some others joined in. it was that hymn that was coming from the faith in Besaid. Before I knew it, everyone was singing it except stubborn Lulu and Kimari.

The singing began to fade as the last of the pyerflys flew away into the distance. I noticed that Yuna was crying. I wished I could go comfort her, but I didn't want to interfere. What I saw just then was somewhat horrifying, and I knew then that I never wanted too see it again.

(Disclaimer- unfortunately, I don't OWN final fantasy or any of the characters, just this little fic, and square soft should be glad a fan wrote one!)
