The Next Great Adventure

Once upon a time, a long time ago, a young boy fought against the greatest evil of his day. An evil so great that no one would even call it by its name.

They fought many times, with one or the other gaining the upper hand, until barely a man, the boy finally vanquished the evil for good. Along the way he gained and lost friends, enemies, family and mentors.

And when the battle ended, and the war was won, the young man moved forward and got on with his life. He buried the dead, he got a job, he married a girl, and he had children.

Having saved the world when he was seventeen, Harry Potter did his very best to be just an ordinary man from that moment onwards. His greatest joy was that his children and grandchildren got to grow up enjoying the peace he had won.

At last, at 200 years old, Harry Potter was ready to embark on his next great adventure. He was satisfied with his life, and he was tired.

But Magic herself had one more twist in the road for our hero who, after all, had never done things the easy way, and was never too concerned with the rules.

The obituary in the "Prophet", simply said that Harry Potter had died quietly at home surrounded by family and friends. Over the next few weeks, articles recounted his life, children in school did projects, and then the wizarding world went back to its business, and Harry faded into history. Only those family who were at the bedside knew what really happened, and they weren't telling.

Thus, no one took particular note when Frederick Hugo Weasley, former unspeakable and Arithmancy professor, took up the post of headmaster at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, bringing with him his familiar, a phoenix he called "Uncle Harry".
