I Can Walk On Water I Can Fly by Basshunter / Axel x Lex / Darkness, Beach, Night

I Can...

I don't even know if Lex will talk to me, much less trust me. Why do I even care?

Striding the short distance to the shore, which is the one place Lex will be in Destiny Islands, I spot her. She sits with her knees pulled close, a sketch pad resting on the jean covered legs. Her dark brown hair falls to her shoulders, blowing away from her equally chocolate brown eyes, thanks to the night's breeze. I be careful to approach on her left side, since she's blind in her right eye, obvious because of the scar, that looks like stitches, under it. The gloves sit next to her and I know that she must be sweltering. Just like me, Lex hates the cold...but she also hates the heat. Her light olive skinned faces appears over her shoulder, breaking the concentration from one of her joyous activities, drawing.

After all that's happened to her; she won't ever be the same and I know she'll keep fighting till she dies. That's just who she is, a stubborn fifteen year old girl...that I've been steadily falling for. "What do you want Axel?" her voice is quiet yet steady.

I brush my fingers through my crimson spikes, ending at rubbing the back of my neck. "Nothing really." My ebony cloak swishes around my equally colored boots, as I make my way over to her. The moon's beams fall onto the paper in her grasp. Taking a seat, I glance over at the light pencil marks littering the page. The difference of the darker strokes forces the image to pop out at me.

She drew the sunset...

Placing the booklet down on the side, that I'm not on, she twists her whole frame towards me, making the necklace holding her amethyst crystal, swing. "Why did you come?"

Is she so ignorant, not to see my feelings? Or do I hide them too well?

"The thing is...is I wanted to see you." Darkness soaks into our surroundings as I lean closer to her, my frame almost towering above hers, "I want to tell you something Lex."

"Go on."

I reach up my gloved hand and cup her chin, bringing her face closer so that I can press my lips against hers. "I love you."
