"I'm leaving."

The words leave her soft pink lips effortlessly as she lies beside him, tangled up in his bedsheets, panting, with sweat dripping down her forehead and his alike. Her red curls cling to her neck and face and his blonde hair is askew, quite the opposite from his usual perfectly gelled style. She was like fire, burnburnburn, and he was light, brightbrightbright. She knew that he would be the death of her, and she him, but why not take each other down in flames while they were together?

"What?" he stammered, sitting up in bed. She tried not study how the moonlight danced off of his bare chest, and instead slid out from under the duvet and began collecting her discarded clothes.

"I'm leaving, Louis," she repeats, slightly softer. He stares at her as she dresses; hurt playing on his perfect features. As she made her way to the door, he hurriedly got out of bed and yanked on his boxers.

"Wait, Rose! You can't just…just leave me!" he shrieked loudly as he followed her outside in nothing but a baggy pair of blue-and-green striped boxers. She whirled around, crystal tears dotting her rosy cheeks. Her blue v-neck was on backwards, and her black leather jacket was unzipped, and she was carrying her dragonskin boots rather than actually wearing him, but Godric, she was gorgeous.

"Yes, I can, Louis. Merlin, we're cousins! It was never meant to get this far. Do you know how disgusted Mum and Dad and Aunt Fleur and Uncle Bill would be, not to mention Hugo and Victoire and Dominique? Innocent kisses in the back corners of the library while we were still at Hogwarts were okay, but, Lou, that was two whole years ago! We're nineteen, and we're still messing around with each other?" she yelled angrily.

"What the hell are you so scared of, Rosie?" he murmured as soon as he knew she was close enough to hear him. She let out a pitiful sort of sob and collapsed in his outstretched arms, her boots thudding to the pavement. Tears rolled down her cheeks onto his golden chest, leaving shining tracks in their wake.

"Oh, Godric, I've done a horrible thing, Lou!" she gasped, digging her nails into his shoulder. He bit his lip in pain and kissed her hair and rubbed her back lovingly, because Merlin, he loved her, even though it was wrongwrongwrong.

"Rosie, it can't be that bad," he whispered to her before hooking his arm under her knees and carrying her back inside Shell Cottage, which he'd fixed up as his own the summer before. He placed her carefully on the couch and Summoned a blanket for her. Her knees were hugged to her chest as her seemingly endless supply of tears streamed relentlessly down her cheeks.

"It is, it is, Lou. You'll hate me."

"Rose, tell me," he urged, smoothing down her wild curls.

"There was a baby," she gasped, clutching her chest as if the wind had been knocked out of her completely. Her eyes glazed over as she lay there gasping for air and he sat frozen, his hand unmoving from her shoulder. "And I got r-rid of it."

"Oh, Merlin, Rose," he said quietly before taking her in his arms and showering her face with kisses. She gasped and gasped for air, and eventually pushed him away.

"But, Lou. That's not the worst p-part!" she stuttered hopelessly. "That was months and m-months ago! I'm pr-pregnant ag-again!"

"Oh, dear," he murmured, holding her tighter against him. She sobbed as he shhed her quietly, retreating to smoothing down her hair again. "I'll never let you go, Rosie. I promise. I'll fight anyone who opposes us off, and I'll keep you and our baby safe. I swear on my life."
