Chapter 1:
"Riixke~! Time to get up for the camping trip!" My mom called up to me.
I groaned and dragged my half asleep body out of bed. My body didn't feel like getting up. Earlier that week, I had gone to my best friend Ventus' house to play Dance Dance Revolution. His mom invited me on a camping trip to Twilight Town woods. Considering we lived in Twilight Town, it wasn't very far. My mom and his mom talked it over and said I could go. Just thinking about the camping trip made me wake up and I got dressed into a pair of faded blue jeans and a creamy yellow short-sleeved shirt. My door flew open, and I ran to the bathroom. My teeth got brushed, my long black hair was groomed before going downstairs for breakfast.
Rubbing my sleepy green eyes, I sat at the dining room table with waffles. My plate was empty before someone could say, 'This is Halloween'. I grabbed my suitcase and walked out the front door. "Bye mom!" She waved bye to me from laundry room. My suitcase being wheeled down the side walk broke the silence of the early morning. Birds chirped, as my feet carried me to Ven's door. My hand bawled up into a fist, and I knocked without hesitating on the door. Barking answered my knock and a brown dog came out as the door opened. The dog knocked me to the ground and licked my face. I couldn't help but laugh at the dog.
Ven looked down at me, and then pulled his dog, Jerry, away from me. Ven had some of the spikiest dirty yellow hair around. Not in a mohawk, but just wild hair, particularly on his right side, considering he slept on his right most often. If anybody tried to brush that mess, they'd either loose the brush, or the brush would break. Even after a shower it didn't stay down.
The blond spiky haired boy reached down with a hand to help me up. I gladly took his hand and stood up. "Glad you could make it, Riixke."
I smiled and closed my eyes. "Thanks for inviting me, Ven."
"Ven? Is Riixke here?" A voice came from within the two story house. Ven's father came down the stairs and smiled at me. "It looks like your girlfriend is here."
I blushed a deep red and so did Ven. "D-dad!" The blonde cried.
Ven's father laughed. "Come on, the forest is waiting."
Ven's mother appeared at the kitchen doorway. "Riixke, wait for us outside with Jerry. Here's his leash." Ven's mother walked down the hall way, reached up beside the door, clipped the leash to Jerry's collar and handed the loopy end to me.
I nodded my head and took the loopy end and walked out the door. "Come on Jerry!" my voice cooed softly and the little brown dog followed me out of the door. He barked happily and rubbed his muzzle against my leg.
I paced outside the house while Jerry followed me. My ears heard the door open and looked at the house. Ven came out of the house, wheeling his forest green suitcase behind him. I laughed softly. "Don't loose your suitcase in the woods, wind boy." I called Ven wind boy because Ventus means wind in Latin. I think it's quite funny. Ven doesn't.
He growled at me playfully. "Don't call me that Riixke!" He shoved my arm and a laugh followed. Ven's mom and dad soon appeared and followed us as we walked to the forest.
