It had been since the war that he never smiled again or made a joke. With Fred everything was gone. His joy, his laughter, his will to live. Seamus was worried that his boyfriend would never be get back to normal, he tried everything! Exploding things on purpose, falling down, telling jokes – but nothing worked. He was worried because since a few weeks he did not even visit his parents or siblings. And they barely spent time together as a couple.
"Come on, George. They're funny! Listen, what is the difference between a snowman and a snowwoman? You don't know it? The snowballs!...George, you can laugh now. It was funny.."
But nothing worked. The Weasley just sat there and did not even smile a little. Nothing. The younger Gryffindor kicked against the wall. He tried everything, he tried so hard! But nothing he did was good enough. He was frustrated. But Seamus could imagine how it must have felt. When he thought that Dean was dead...he did not even want to think about it. Luckily, he was alive. And their bond was not as strong as the bond from the twins.
"I know, it was a shitty joke...sorry..."
Seamus was still frustrated. He grabbed a bar of chocolate and sat down. It always calmed him down and it was not as bad as alcohol. The door bell rang and Lee appeared.
"Seriously, Finnigan. You'll get fat if you continue to eat so much chocolate...I always see you eating chocolate."
"As long as cocoa beans grow on trees, chocolate is fruit to me!"
The irish Gryffindor smirked and flinched when he heard a chuckle. Could it be...? He turned his head and could have cried. George chuckled! It was the first happy reaction he got in ages! Seamus jumped from the chair and ran over to his lover. He wrapped his arms around George and looked up.
"George! You..you laughed! I missed you. The real you, you know..."
He was glad that it was slowly getting back to normal. This was the beginning. The remaining twin ruffled through the sandy hair before he pecked his lips. He flinched when something caught fire and let go to extinguish the fire. Well, something would definitely never be normal.
"Whoa, no need to set the papers on fire, Finnigan!"
Yes, Seamus was definitely happy to have his boyfriend back.
