Chapter One… You Don't Know

They don't understand, they never will. They think high school is the same since they were in school, like life as a teenager will stay the same. They think we will make the same mistakes they made growing up. They try to understand but they never will…

I woke up to the blaring thing beside me. My alarm clock. I head for the showers. The warm water touched my face. I winced. It remind me of the past. Memories came. Unwanted memories that brought pain into my life. I opened my eyes. The once warm water was now cold. I got out the shower, dried off, and checked the time, 5:30. Just my luck. First day to high school and I might be late. I quick dressed and left for the bus stop.

I arrived at my bus stop. I looked around to see if anyone else was coming. A group of boys was heading my way. They passed me and was laughing at me. Wait, was my shoes untied or something. I checked myself, and noticed one flaw. My scars on my arm was showing. I pulled my selves down in embarrassment as they passed going to the other bus stop. "Well hi there" I jumped and shrieked in terror. I turned around only to notice a strange yet gentle boy. "Hi". A person is actually talking to me. That's weird. This isn't just a person. He's an example of what perfection is. His dark, long curly hair matched his light-skinned completion. "Sorry I'm new here, allow me to introduce myself, I'm Kris Dexter, and you are?" He looked at me. Wait, he wasn't looking at me, he was looking through me. "Sorry, I'm Aurora Brown" "That's a beautiful name for such a beautiful girl." "Are you trying to flirt with me?" "If it's working, then yes." The bus arrived. Thank you bus driver. I hop aboard feeling relieved.
