Author's Note: This is going to be a drabble collection, hopefully. But knowing me, I'll probably give up on drabbles altogether after posting two or three. Most of these will just be written for the writing practice, but I'll get them beta'd if people like them. Not that you really care about this note anyway, so onto the story information.
Flames
Pairing: SasuSaku. I'm not that good at writing them, but whatever.
Comments: It's not the best, but not horrible, either. I hope. And it's
nearly a page long, which is a pretty good length for drabbledom. Ugh.
Now I'm just rambling. Read the crap already. xP
flames (flamz) n. hot, glowing masses of burning gas or vapor; the condition of active, blazing combustion
Everyone deserved the flames.
Everyone in goddamn Konoha village deserved the flames.
Uchiha Sasuke stood at the top of Hokage monument, admiring his handiwork. There was the once glorious Konoha, enveloped in a blanket of ever-growing fire. The roaring flames reminded him of the leaves that drifted to the ground during autumn—both crackled and both were of warm shades of red. Sasuke smirked at the irony. Autumn leaves would be the destruction of the leaf village.
Inhaling the thick, bitter scent of smoke, the raven-haired lifted his chin heavenward. Someone up there was shaking their head at his arson, but he didn't particularly care. Gazing at the full moon, he noted that it was shining brighter than usual, as if to tell him that he was doing the right thing. Well, at least the man in the moon approved.
Down, down, down in Konoha village, he knew that people were panicking. Their alarmed screams were amplified as they rebounded off the walls of the village's many buildings. Buildings that they had labored to erect, buildings that were just beginning to crumble under the merciless biting of the flames. His comrades were somewhere in the midst of that commotion, he was sure; just standing there, knowing that he'd done it. Probably unbelieving in his betrayal. Not that he cared. He knew that those sons-of-bitches had gotten their just desserts.
Sighing contentedly, Sasuke sank down onto the monument's stubbly stone. Muscular legs dangling off Tsunade's top lip, he reached down and caressed the velvety cheek of the unconscious figure beside him. Her tangled pink hair was strewn across the rock beneath her, and asmudge ofsoot had found its way across the bridge of her nose. He wiped it away. When she woke up, he would be the first to look into those understanding green eyes that were now hidden by hertranslucenteyelids. A smile tugged at his lips as he moved his hand to trace the line of her delicate jaw. She was beautiful.
Everyone deserved the flames.
Everyone in goddamn Konoha village deserved the flames.
Everyone except her.
That's all, folks. Read and review and I'll love you forever. Add me to a C2 and I'll love you even more. Beg me to write more and I'll let you have my firstborn child.
Tempted yet? ;D
