Chapter One: The Surprise

Moriko was looking at herself in her bathroom mirrior getting ready with two of her best friends Ame and Kaori, to go where she had no idea. The two other girls had not told her yet.
"Hand me the eyeliner please." Moriko said reaching toward Ame.
"Here." Ame threw the eyeliner at Moriko almost hitting Kaori in the process.
"Watch it Ame," Kaori snapped while throwing a glare her way. It remained silent for five or so minutes while they finished getting ready.
"Where are we going?" Moriko asked for what seemed like the millionth time that day. Ame and Kaori just exchanged looks and avoided her question. It was quiet for another minute while Moriko tried to figure out what the girls were planning..
"Where in the hell are Hikari and Yumi?" Moriko suddenly yelled.
"I have no clue but they need to hurry up!" Ame said while putting the finishing touches on her hair. As if on cue, the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it!" Kaori called, running to the door. Kaori ran down the stairs and opened the door.
"HIKARI YUMI!" She exclaimed. "AAAHHH HIKARI YUMI!" Moriko yelled and ran down the stairs tackling them into a hug when she reached them. Ame then came out, "Bout time you guys showed up. I thought we were going to be late."
"Hey we made it did we not?" Hikari said. The girls were surprised Moriko had not realized that they were doing something for her upcoming birthday. Sometimes she was just slow like that. "Lets go!" Ame said bounceing from one foot to the other excitedly.
"Where are we going for you to be all excited?" Moriko questioned them.
"Well since you birthday is coming up," Hikari started but was interupted by a enthusiastic Yumi, "WERE GOING TO GO SEE THE GAZETTE!" It took a second for Moriko to fully process the thought.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHH THE GAZETTE! YOUR NOT JOKEING ARE YOU? OH MY GOSH I LOVE YOU" Moriko yelled why jumping and hugging each one of the girls in turn. "Well we should get going if were going to make it there." Kaori said.
"Yeah you never know when Hikari's car will stop working on us." Ame teased. "HEY!" Hikai called back to her. With that they all grabbed their stuff and ran to the door.
This is my first attempt at a real story so don't be to mean please!
