The Opposite of Fragile~
Kuki was beautiful. Fun. Free. Kuki never judged. She always smiled. She helped him with his homework. She watched his little brother. People liked her, loved her even. Guys would tell him how lucky he was. Send jealous glances in his direction. Always looking, but never daring to touch.
Kuki Sanban was everything Wally Beatles should've wanted.
And everything he found he didn't.
They were opposites, truly, completely opposite. Originally, he thought this was OK. Nerdy, hyper Hoagie was with cool, calm Abby. So, happy, girly Kuki could be with grumpy, rough and tumble Wally. It turned out though, that it wasn't really the opposites that tore them apart. Sure, sometimes she was too girly for him, her heart a little too fragile for Wally to hold.
But, it might've been the very, very few similarities that truly did them in. She was impatient. He was impatient. She liked to yell. He liked to yell. She liked to hold grudges. He liked to hold grudges. And finally, she was in denial. He was in denial.
Their relationship fell down around them before he could even raise a finger to keep it up.
In response, Wally found himself in his arms. Because Abby and Hoagie reminded him of everything he could've had, but never did. And he obviously couldn't go talk to her.
He was Wally's opposite as well. He was organized, neat, collected. He followed his head, rarely his heart. He took everything seriously.
Kuki moved on, being her happy-go-lucky self with a string of guys very similar to him. And Wally took a breather, spending time with his friend that always been his friend but seemed new in a lot of ways. It started off completely innocently, as these things most often do. But, he couldn't help but notice how well he and his friend fit together. In a way he and Kuki could've, but never did.
Wally found that he was patient at times when Wally was not. He liked to reason, but not yell. And his heart? Wally was pretty sure it had been stepped on far too many times for it still to be fragile. He thought maybe he could hang on to it.
He thought maybe, a small maybe, a stretch of a maybe, stoic, meticulous Nigel Uno could be with impulsive, angry Wallabee Beatles.
But, only maybe.
A/N: I think it may be official that I'm too into South Park, and more specifically Stan/Kyle, right now. I didn't even know I was capable of writing slash...even though this is probably the most mild slash every written. Ahhhh! It's so non-canon (I think I kept them in character...which is why it doesn't even seem to work in the least). I'm not even sure why I'm posting it...maybe I'll receive my first ever flame!
For the record, this does not mean I'm now a 1/4 person or anything. It just came to me.
