"Bella were leaving. This isn't the place for me or my family. I'm sorry this had to end this way but we can't keep doing this. You aren't right for me", frustration and persuasion was lacing his voice as Edward leaned back on the tree gently.
I nodded with understanding waiting for the right moment to tell him I knew.
"But I do want you to keep a promise. Don't do anything harmful, you hear me? I'm thinking of Charlie of course, and I'll make one in return. You'll never hear from me or my family again. It will be like I never existed!" his face was blank but his eyes were swimming with emotion anger, understanding, frustration, lust (which was not understandable), and love to name a few. It was easy to see he was lying.
"Ok Edward but know I'll never forget you or you family so it doesn't make a difference but... if it's what you want then I'll try to help make it easier.", I was hoping by the tone of my soft voice would make him see that I knew but al I saw through my blurry eyes were surprise.
"Why?"
"Why what?"
"Help me after I put you through this, …everything!? How can you stand there and understand?"
"Because I know you better than anyone. I know you lying Edward, it's in your eyes! You're putting my safety under our happiness. I knew you would most likely leave when we left your house after my party! Know that our love will make us both miserable but until you realise that… you know where to find me!" I said and left a shell shocked Edward standing there. I quickly scrubbed my tears to see but when I looked back all was left untouched and exactly as he said it would be… as if he never existed!
