Yes, I do realize that not all the dialouge is exactly what it was during the episode, but since it is fanfiction (and because I wasn't watching the episode when I wrote this, and because I don't have the scene memorized) you're just gonna have to deal with it. Besides, and went back and checked it, the lines aren't too far off the mark.
EDIT: Yeah, I've noticed the name mix up now. I just guess that's one of the hazards of not watching what you're supposed to be basing it on extra carefully, along with the fact that I did (kind of subconciously, I guess) think Elsa was named after the park, because, to me, it sounded like the name of a place. So when I wrote this, that thought made itself known, and I didn't even notice it was wrong until a couple of people pointed it out. -///-;; Ooops.
It's fixed now though. Enjoy.
Trotting through the thick forest surrounding them on all sides behind her handler, Elsa allows her mind to wander to something other than Lauro's back.
She thinks of all the things she's learned in the past few months of her new life, including a saying she'd heard whilst eavesdropping on a terrorist party while waiting for the go ahead to kill them all. "All's fair in love and war." They had been referring to their rebellion against the country's government, but to Elsa it held a different meaning.
Lauro asks her what they're doing in a place like this, and Elsa answers him truthfully.
"It's where you named me…" she trailed off.
"Oh. That's all?". He turned, and began to walk away. She could hear him muttering with annoyance about what a waste it was to be dragged out here.
With her despaired whisper "This…this is where you gave me life." the knife point the situation was balanced on tipped.
Pulling her gun, she thought If all's fair in love and war…
She aimed…
Then no one can blame me for this.
And fired.
