I've been hit by men before, but never like this.
Never with such force.
I've never had a blow mean so much.
This one was infused with a strength of emotion I can't deny.
It snapped my head back until my neck nearly fractured under the strain of it.
And it never even touched me.
But its anger, its self-righteous rage, consumed me entirely and I stumbled.
The knowledge it brought finished my fall.
I wasn't absolutely sure of things before, but now I'm certain.
Muddy water suddenly clears.
The captain didn't just hit Jayne with that wrench, you know.
