Grissom walked past the lab. He cocked his head to one side, and looked at
the lab
tech bouncing around happily inside. He pushed open the door. Greg, using
some
bizarre sixth sense, which, owing to the volume, was obviously unrelated to
hearing,
turned round and saw him. hope
The night shift supervisor shook his head. Greg examined him for the few seconds it took to shift the CD player to the next track. He raised an eyebrow at Grissom in query.
Grissom listened for about half a minute, made a face of, I don't like it but it's not as damned irritating as the last one, and walked back out of the lab.
When he'd gone, Greg picked up a clipboard hanging on the end of his desk, he wrote neatly the date and time then added, Terrorvision - Tequila in their respective columns. And put a tick in the box headed "Irritating"
There were about thirty songs on this page of the list already. Some had ticks in boxes marked "Obscene", "Too Loud" "Just don't" And of course, "Irritating".
Some of then were in more than one category. White Zombie's - More human than human had made it to three ticks. Korn's A.D.I.D.A.S was a four. Anything by the Bloodhound Gang was automatically verboten.
When he had enough of each category, he burned them to a CD and labelled them. If he was feeling particularly tetchy then when everyone had gone out he'd throw in one of the Forbidden CD's and rattle the glass walls. But only when everyone was out.
If Grissom specifically said or even indicated with a disgruntled look, that he wasn't to play a particular song when he, the supervisor, was in the building, then Greg didn't.
But Greg had a very large, extremely eclectic and ever expanding music collection. He smiled happily to himself and turned the volume up as "D'you wanna go faster" came on.
