Danny yawned, stretching his sleepy body as he got up. As soon as he took the blankets off of himself, he began to shiver.

"Why am I s-so c-cold...?" He thought. Shrugging it off as nothing, he tried to ignore it as he got dressed in his normal clothes.

Going down the stairs, around to the kitchen, he grabbed a box of cereal off of the top of the refrigerator, a bowl from the cabinet, and a spoon from the cupboard. Turning to grab some milk from the fridge, he sat down and poured his cereal and milk, and began to eat. Jack was reading the paper, Maddie was tinkering with an invention, and Jazz was working on another essay. Danny tried not to shiver as the cold milk and dry goods went down his throat, hard to ignore.

Maddie looked up at Danny, who was trying not to shiver as he took bite-by-bite. She frowned.

"Danny, are you cold?" She asked. Danny looked up at her.

"N-no, m-mom, I-I'm f-f-fine." He said. She rolled her eyes and took a glove off, as Danny resigned to his fate of getting his temperature checked by his mother. She shivered slightly upon putting her hand on his forehead, and pulling back, she frowned.

"You're colder than normal. Maybe you should stay home today?" She suggested. Danny stubbornly shook his head as Jack took a look at him.

"I bet it's a ghost bug!" He shouted. Jazz silently eye-rolled at her dad. Danny shook his head again.

"N-no, D-dad. I-I'm f-fine. M-maybe c-c-catching a b-bug or s-something, b-but I-I'm fine." He said. Maddie sighed.

"While I can clearly see you're shivering, if you MUST go to school, take a jacket." She said firmly. Danny frowned.

"B-but i-it's s-supposed t-t-to be w-warm t-today!" He protested. Maddie rolled her eyes at Danny, and left the room for a moment, before coming back with a red jacket with a hoodie for him. Tossing it at him, he gave an annoyed look at the jacket, but a glare from Jack told him to put it on because Maddie told him so. Zipping it up, he looked annoyed.

"I-I l-look s-s-stupid in t-this t-thing!" He protested. The others ignored him, and he sighed as he continued spooning his cereal in. Finally leaving, he exited his house, Tucker approaching and regarding him oddly.

"What's with the jacket? It's supposed to get up to the eighties today..." He said. Danny shivered again.

"I-I w-was o-only a-a l-little c-cold t-this m-morning a-and my m-m-mom and d-dad m-made m-me w-wear this!" He snorted. Tucker snickered.

"Whatever, miniature Santa Claus." He said. Danny glared.

"Thanks, Mr. Sympathy."
