"Happy Halloween, Guv!" said Gerry, walking into Sandra's office and presenting her with a collection of little cakes with ghosts and pumpkin faces iced onto them. "Aww, Gerry, they're lovely, thank you!" said Sandra, touched. "They're Left over from Gerry Junior's Halloween party last night. I thought you might like them" replied Gerry.
Once she was back home, Sandra sat down on her sofa, glass of wine in one hand, one of Gerry's cakes in the other.
Sandra had dozed off on the sofa. Suddenly, she saw her dad standing in front of her. "Whaa? Dad? What are you doing here?"said Sandra, now fully aware. "I've come to tell you to stop dancing around your colleague, Gerry. I've been watching over you and can see that he loves you. Don't keep on dining alone. Don't make the same mistakes I did" Gordon Pullman told his daughter before disappearing completely.
Sandra awoke the next morning. "Did dad really visit me last night? Or was I dreaming?" she asked herself.
She settled down to watch TV, but couldn't settle. She decided to call Jack, ask him to come round, talk it through.
"Well, it's possible" said Jack half an hour later. Sandra had sounded like she was in such a state that he went round immediately. "Really?!" asked Sandra, shocked. "Yes. I don't know how or why. You're dad's right though. You and Gerry need to tell each other how you feel. Go round there and do just that" Jack told Sandra firmly.
Sandra knocked on Gerry's door. Butterflies were fluttering in her stomach. She paced up and down in front of the house for what seemed like hours.
"Sandra? You okay?" asked Gerry, opening to the door to find his normally-sane guv pacing up and down and muttering to herself. "Er, yeah, I'm fine. Can I come in?" asked Sandra. Gerry moved out of the way to let her step inside.
Sandra and Gerry sat on the sofa. "My dad visited me in a dream/vision last night. " began Sandra. "What?! Have you been drinking?!" asked Gerry angrily. "No, I haven't. Just listen. " replied Sandra fixing him with a glare to make him shut up. "My dad visited me last night to tell me thought you are in love with me. Now can you please put me out of my misery and tell me that's a load of bollo-" she was cut off because Gerry had kissed her on the lips. Surprised, Sandra didn't respond for a minute then kissed him back.
"Still doubting your father?" asked Gerry after they'd stopped for air. "No." replied Sandra, snuggling up to him and wrapping her arms around his neck.
The End.
