Paine and Pleasure
Disclaimer: All my characters (so far) belong to the brilliant people who make all the final fantasy games. (I believe that's Square Enix)
A/N: My spell check isn't working and I have generally poor spelling but I shall try my best to spell things the right way!
This story takes place about the same time as Yuna's pilgrimage (again, forgive my spelling!)

Chapter One
------------
Paine sighed impatiently and ran her fingers through her hair. Gippal was late again. Actually, had there ever been a time when he wasn't at least a minute or two late; although these minutes were running into an hour.
There was a hum of machina and suddenly Paine was swept off her feet and onto a hover. Gippal gave her a stunning smile that made her knees weak, although she kept up a strong outer appearance. "Hey babe." he said drawing out the second syllable and making a popping sound with his lips.
Paine gave him a rare half smile and re-adjusted herself on the hover. "Don't call me babe." She commanded. Gippal wrapped his arm around her waist and kissed her gruffly on the cheek.
"Whatever." He ran his hand over his chin. "How do you like my… stubble?"
This actually drew a short laugh from Paine. "It's very manly." She knew his 'stubble' had taken weeks to grow, afterall, he was only a little older than her and that hardly made him a fully-fledged man.
"Thanks. So where we headed to?" he asked, turning on the hover bike.
She wrapped her arms around him and held on tight. "Anywhere."
------------
It turned out 'anywhere' to Gippal meant his workshop, where he tried to explain every piece of scrap metal and half-finished machina to Paine. Paine could really care less and she pointed this out to Gippal several times, but he ignored her and continued on.
She sat down on the hover bike again, watching him as he fondly touched everything in the room. "I'd be able to do so much more if those Yevon weirdos didn't ruin everything. They think I'm disobaying the teachings."
"The Al Bhed have it tough here. You could always go Home." Said Paine, though it hurt to say. She didn't want Gippal to leave her. They knew each other so well and there was a little part of her; one that mostly got tied up in her throat that whispered why don't you marry him?
The other part of her always laughed and begged to differ. Marriage was what her parents wanted, although they probably preferred it to someone other than Gippal. She was too young, but the word young reffered to innocence and that was stopping with children the first time they saw Sin attack. She was no longer young. She was no longer the innocent, in-denial thing she had been only two years ago. When Sin had taken her brother.
