Lily was not a normal girl … hell no, in a matter of speaking she was as abnormal as you could get, but she didn't care what her petty sister thought of her, petty was just the right word to describe her as she was very petty, and it fitted with her name perfectly.  Petunia Evans hated her sister, the bonds they had once shared had diminished over time, and Lily had grown up and chosen her destiny, even if it hurt Petunia so much that she couldn't even think straight. But what hurt the most is that her sister, the one she had sworn to protect, to defend her innocence at all costs, didn't need her anymore … all her best friends didn't realises how helpless that made her feel; *their* little sisters still talked to them, still needed them to ask about boys and make up. Petunia couldn't even hold a conversation with her sister, without it ending up in "freak show" on Petunia's behalf, but she could never understand  how Lily could just give up on her, and their old world the world they once knew, before her parents lives were so tragically lost. Petunia supposed Lily thought that she blamed her for their deaths and at one stage or another it had probably come off as that but she didn't how could she hate her own flesh and blood? No it wasn't hate, it was something much deeper, jealousy.

This jealousy was tearing her apart, she couldn't eat, she couldn't drink and she hated Lily for the fact that she was so happy, she loved hr school and had friends that understood and cared for her, a loving husband and a gorgeous little boy, who did Petunia have? Vernon, and even he could never fill the gap lily left when she died, Dudley? He was a constant reminder of all she gave up and all she never understood. And now their was Harry, Lily's son, the once who looked so much like her, his eyes were a horrible link to her sister's, oh how she missed her …

"MUM!" Dudley's 2 year old voice shock petunia out of her thoughts and she looked up and smiled at the chubby two year old, who looked nothing like her … 'one day' she told her self one day she would tell them all of this, and hopefully they would understand, but until then she would keep her promise and would never say a word …
