Blitz and Blaze walked up the hill, chatting as they went. They had to get back to their village before dark, when it was dark, bad things happened. Their village was a small clearing in the middle of a forest, cut off from the other fire type villages. The population consisted of typhlosions, lots of quilavas and a few little cyndaquils. They had to stay hidden, as they were considered rare, only available as starters for young trainers that don't know how to look after them.
"I hope Dad isn't angry," Blaze muttered.
"Why would he be?" Blitz asked him.
"Well we are quite late..."
"But we've got all these different fruits and plants for the village."
"I guess."
Although typhlosions were born predators, they were quite gentle, so they usually ate fruits and such. If they were to eat another pokemon, they would have to pick the bones clean and return it to wherever it came from, so that it could be reborn.
They arrived as it turned dark, which was also when the big feast was to start, they put their contributions to the feast on the cut down tree and spread them along it equally. An old looking typhlosion got up and stood on a large tree stump, he was obviously the leader – or elder - of the 'tribe'.
"We all gather here today to celebrate the achievements of two young typhlosions, these two – as I'm sure you remember – saved our village from a stampede of tauros last week... " the elder said.
"Wait... but we were the ones who saved the village..." Blitz whispered to Blaze.
"...Not only that but they've even gone to the trouble of collecting food for this feast..."
"That was us as well..." Blaze whispered back.
"...Those two typhlosions..."
"Could it be?"
"...are..."
"I think it is!"
"Blitz and Blaze!"
The two were fairly surprised that they were getting mentioned by name in one of the feasts, they were the youngest to get awarded by the elder since their grandfather.
"With that said," the elder continued, "Let the feast begin!"
Blitz and Blaze took their place to sit beside their family.
"Good going, you guys!" Their younger sister – Ember – said.
"Thanks sis," Blaze answered.
They didn't even notice the group of feraligatr moving closer and closer through the forest...
