Daisuke was sobbing quietly in an airport bathroom stall. It had been too much to see all the happy couples greeting each other out in the waiting room. It only reminded him of what he'd lost.
When somebody loved me
Everything was beautiful
Every hour we spent together
Lives within my heart
They'd only been dating for three months, but… it hurt Daisuke's soul to have his Jogress partner suddenly despise him. Hadn't Ken been so happy when Daisuke had admitted his feelings? Ken had kissed him!
And when he was sad
I was there to dry his tears
And when he was happy

When he loved me
But those insults… Daisuke felt that those were Ken's parents speaking. But it didn't matter. If Ken didn't want him around, Daisuke would respect that.
Through the summer and the fall
We had each other that was all
Just he and I together
Like it was meant to be
He would forget all the plans they had made for the summer and go away. Good thing he'd never rejected that scholarship. A summer full of art projects and living with his cousin might help Daisuke get over Ken. Or at least act like he was. Maybe when he got back, they'd be able to be friends again?
And when he was lonely
I was there to comfort him
And I knew that
He loved me
If nothing else, they were best friends, had been ever since Ken had abandoned his Kaiser persona. Though, if he was completely honest, Daisuke had had a crush on Ken ever since he'd met him. Even when he was the Kaiser.
So the years went by
I stayed the same
But he began to drift away
I was left alone
It would be hard, to be around Ken, loving Ken, when Ken knew of Daisuke's feelings and didn't return them…anymore. Daisuke sighed softly. He would try and be just a friend for Ken, but he still hoped that, maybe one day…
Still, I waited for the day
When he'd say

"Flight 777 to Hokkaido now boarding." A woman's voice announced over the intercom. Daisuke exited his stall and hurriedly grabbed his bags and ticket, heading for the terminal.
Lonely and forgotten
Never thought he'd look my way
Just two more people in front of him. Soon he'd be on the plane, away from here. Did he hear his name? "Daisuke!" Yep. But who…? Daisuke gaped when he saw… Ken. What was Ken doing here?
And he smiled at me and held me
Just like he used to do
Like he loved me
When he loved me
A moment later and he didn't care. Ken saw Daisuke, ran over and pulled him into a kiss. Daisuke could feel the tears flowing from his eyes, and taste Ken's. He dropped his bags and cupped Ken's face with his hands.

"I'm sorry, so sorry. Don't leave, Dais. Please don't." Ken sobbed into Daisuke's ear, clutching the shorter boy to him. "I won't, Ken. Never. I promise. I love you."
Every hour we spent together
Lives within my heart
"I love you too."
When he loved me
They shared another kiss, not caring that half of Tokyo was watching.
