Author's Note: Hey guys, I usually write Channy (sonny with a chance stories) but I'm also in love with the stories of Uglies. I was really sad when they made Zane die and the last time they spoke was when they kissed each other in Specials and then Tally accidently cut his palms. I wanted to add a little twist to the way when Zane was about to die. Here it is.
One Last Goodbye
Summary: What if right before Tally saw Zane dead, they had a little chat before he actually died. My little personal twist to Zane's death.

No one's Point Of View
"Let me be the center of the universe for five more minutes, Shay. Then I'll go away and let him die, I promise." Tally wanted this so badly. To just talk to him right before he died, she knew he had only a few minutes left and that's why she wanted to make the best of it. Shay let out a long sigh between her teeth. "Everybody, get out of our way." Shay demanded and Tally squished into the small darkened room.
Zane lay on top of a white, firm bed with his eyes slightly opened.
"Tally…." He tried to say but it came out in barely a whisper.
"Yea… I'm so sorry Zane this happened to you. I really am… this is totally all my fault." Tally mentally slapped herself for all her mistakes. If she wasn't scared to take them in the first place then Zane would be with her right know all bubbly. She couldn't stand to see him like this. She missed him so much and now he was going to leave again… forever.
"No… it's not…" He attempted to say in between deep breaths and slowly. She walked up to him and slightly hugged his fragile body with her weak arms that were shaking with depression.
He opened his eyes a little more and smiled lightly to Tally.
"I love you…" She blurted out. She was happy she said it because know Zane would die knowing that she really did love him. Zane didn't seem to be shocked or surprised but instead he smiled. Tally enjoyed the slight smile that was on Zane's pretty, beautiful, amazing face. There seemed to be a small but not awkward moment between them until Zane confessed up.
"…. Me too…" He let out with a little louder confident voice. She reached towards his face and pressed her lips lightly to his. She wanted to push more pressure but it would hurt Zane, she thought. He kissed back as much he could with his all might but soon after a few seconds Zane's lips slowly stopped. Tally brought her head up to see his eyes still slightly open and his lips curved up into a smile. She slowly places her palm on his eyelids and brought them down. She quickly pecked him on the cheek before leaving him. As she left the room a tear had escaped her eye.
She was sad that Zane was gone but happy that their last moment together was a perfect little moment. She didn't want their last time together to be when she kissed him then made his palms bleed. She desperately wanted him, here with her but she was in high spirits that his last goodbye was one amazing goodbye, or should I say last goodbye kiss.
