A/N: A little real word!Percy Jackson nonsense (probably ridiculously OC because I haven't read the books in ages). Percabeth if you squint. Dedicated to N.H. Enjoy!

"It's too hard," Percy complained, shoving the textbook away from him. Annabeth leaned over his shoulder, glancing at the set of math problems.

"It's not that bad," she said gently. When Percy snorted in contempt, Annabeth disappeared for a moment, hiding something behind her back and grabbing a chair, putting it right beside Percy's. "It's a right triangle, and we always look to see if we can use..." she trailed off, trying to let Percy answer.

"Math?" Percy answered, twirling his pen around his fingers.

"Pythagorean theorem," Annabeth corrected.

"That's the a squared plus b squared makes c squared thing, right?" Annabeth smiled, and gave him a cookie. "Where did you get- never mind," Percy said, mouth slightly full.

"Every right answer gets you a cookie," Annabeth answered, putting the jar on the table, beyond Percy's reach. He reached for the jar instinctively, and turned sea-green eyes plaintively on the blonde girl.

"Can't I have another one?" he pleaded.

"Not yet. Try..." she trailed off, scanning the textbook. She pointed out a different problem. "This one."

"But... it's not a right angle triangle," Percy said. "It's barely even any type of triangle," he added, looking at the odd shape.

"But all we need is its area, and it gave the width. All we have to do is measure the other angle..." she leaned over, producing a ruler from almost nowhere. She carefully lined it up, then started to lean back when she caught Percy looking plaintively at the cookies again. "Seriously?" she murmured. Percy continued the puppy dog eyes.

"Please?"

"Why do I even listen to you?" Annabeth sighed as she grabbed the cookies and gave one to Percy. "That was your one free cookie."

Less than five minutes later, the cookie jar was mostly depleted. Annabeth sighed again and grabbed the last two, keeping one for herself and giving the other to Percy. He visibly brightened, and broke his cookie in half, devouring the first half.

"... That was for opening your textbook?" Annabeth suggested weakly.

"Works for me," Percy answered, grinning. Annabeth got up, handing a sheet of paper to Percy.

"I half-finished the problems for you. Figure out how to do the rest, okay?" she said resignedly.

"Thank you!" Percy answered, happily munching on the second half of the cookie. Annabeth smiled, then opened a book and sat down, awaiting the inevitable cry for help. A few moments later, her expectations were fulfilled.

"Annabeth..."

A/N: I suck at writing based on prompts. Sorry, that must have been sooo OC. At least this is a good wake up call to actually go and reread the books instead of insane amounts of fanfiction. Hope you at least kind of enjoyed!
