tag to one shot, one kill 1x12
Standing in front of the dead body in the alley, Tony kept his gun level at the slumped body. When the feds moved to remove the sniper rifle from the man's cooling corpse Tony still kept his gun trained just in case. He was a cop to the core and knew what could happen if you lost focus even if you thought you were in the clear.
Once the body was cleared of any type of weapon he relaxed. Relief coursed through his veins knowing his boss and partner were both safe. Now that he could widen his focus from the body he heard his boss question Kate about her cover, which she didn't understand was her hat.
In the office he let Kate's comment of fitting in with the indian chief slip off his back and even chuckled quietly at her ymca rendition...it was nice to know she could get the pole out of her butt every once and a while and if he had to be the butt of her jokes...well so be it. It was fair in their relationship of one upmanship this point went to her but he'd score again and probably more times than she would which was why she turned to violence; elbow to the ribs. He turned to his computer and pulled up a saved document and added her points to the tally he had going. He saved then shut the computer down since his report was on the database and e-mailed with a hard copy sitting on the leaning pile of paperwork in his boss's in-box.
Later that night as he lay in the cocoon of warmth he finally let his relief be known. "I could kill you for not wearing your vest Jethro."
Blue eyes looked down into his green showing the emotions he wasn't good at sharing:love and amusement "Really Tony? I thought you wanted to see my uniform."
Tony blushed remembering his comments earlier that day about the uniform. "Yeah I do but don't think you're off the hook just because i'm relieved you're f..mph."
Gibbs leaned down to steal his lover's words as he sealed their lips together in a kiss pulling back only to breathe.
Tony panted out of breath. "Bastard."
Gibbs smiled his special half-smile. "Never claimed otherwise love."
Tony rolled his eyes and cuddled further into his warm cocoon of blanket and strong marine arms letting his relief that the case was closed and his team was safe envelop him as he lost himself to the movie and let the million what if's that had been jumping around his brain finally disappear knowing that everyone was safe this time around.
