EPOV

"Bella, for the last time, McDonalds food is very bad for you. Why do you want to go there anyways?" She was complaining about wanting the greasy fries and dried out meat-and-buns that they call hamburgers. Yet again, for the 13th time today.

"Edward, why can't you get this through your thick skull, I AM NOT A CHILD. YOU ARE NOT MY MOTHER. I CAN EAT WHAT EVER I WANT. Besides, I'm going to be a vampire soon, so I want to live my life to the fullest, which means to me for now eating the delicious fries and having hamburgers at McDonalds." She winked at me and giggled. Bella never giggles. Weird.

I finally consented, and said with a sigh, "Alright, Bella. But on one condition: can we play on the play-place?" I felt mischievous, and when I said that, her eyes lit up with excitement.

"Hooray! Let's go, Edward!"

We finally made it to McDonalds going at Bella's human pace. We walked in, and the whole place reeked of artificial ingredients that nobody knows how to pronounce the names of, sweaty children, irritated adults, and over-weight people enjoying their fatty meals.

Bella and I were now at the counter, and she was ordering three Big Macs, two large fries, and two regular cheeseburgers. She took her tray to a booth in a corner, and sat down to eat. I thought I was disgusted by the smell, but when Bella kissed me with half a bite of cheeseburger in her mouth, I almost lost it and ran out of the "restaurant," but I stayed composed.

When Bella was done eating, she said, "Hey, let's go to the play place." I looked down at her and gave her my lopsided grin that always made her heart stop beating. She grabbed my hand and we walked to the play place.

I was chasing her through the play place, and just as she was racing down the stairs, she tripped. All of the humans were watching us, so I couldn't reach out and catch her, because that would expose that I wasn't human.

I stupidly reached for her as a human would do, and didn't catch her, also as a human couldn't do. She was sailing through the air, and then her left foot twisted slightly as she landed. I heard the 'snap!' of bone, and then she collapsed onto the floor, screaming and crying. I raced forward as fast as I dared, and helped her up. She couldn't walk, so I slung her onto my back.

We walked out, and I gently placed her in my car. On the drive to my house, she let out small whimpers of pain. Carlisle gave her a cast as soon as I had lain her down on the couch. Alice must have told him, because he was prepared.

Only Bella could be uncoordinated enough to break a bone at McDonalds.

A/N: I actually based this story on my stupidity at McDonalds. I actually broke a bone in my foot at McDonalds. The only true part is that I did trip down the stairs of the play place and landed wrong on my foot, and a bone broke. It was my first and only broken bone ever. :( Oh well, it was three years ago, and I got this idea today, when I was talking to BellaWhitlock51. She is my BFF. :D
