Here is a wonderful oneshot from yours truly, about Neytiri's thanator in the battle. It's not much, but I wanted to write it!
I don't own Avatar, or "Bob" the thanator. But that doesn't mean I can't write about him!
Long rays of light came through the rain forest, fanning the flames burning it up. The battle for the Tree of Souls had changed dramatically. Eywa had joined the fight, but it wasn't over yet. A lone Palulukan bounded through the jungle in search of its prey.
In the middle of the day? Well, I suppose Eywa didn't wait.
I ran up a long tree root, and jumped, grabbing a metal demon's head. AMP suits they called them. Stupid name as far as I was concerned.
"Thanator!" one of the soldiers yelled. I bit through the top of the metal demon, crushing the soldier inside. I swiftly turned, swinging my tail and knocking the soldier off balance. I growled in satisfaction as I heard a sickening crack come from his body.
I ran into the woods as their "missiles" flew around me. I ran as fast as my six legs would carry, trampling a soldier and jumping right over another.
Until I saw her.
A Na'vi, firing arrows into the ranks of retreating Tawtute, as the Na'vi called them. I ran up to the Na'vi, who had a mixed look of shock and fear on her face when she saw me. I knew that Eywa had called us to fight the Tawtute, and protect the Na'vi. With that in mind, I slowly bowed my head to the Na'vi. Anyone could tell she was smiling. She boarded me quickly, and with a war cry we were charging through the forest.
We ran for a long time, effortlessly bounding through the jungle. We killed several Tawtute soldiers on the way, their screams echoing through my quills. Soon though, I sensed something different, not too far away.
AMP suit!
I charged at the giant, who swiftly turned, raising his arms and pushing me over him. I ran at him again, and he grabbed and threw us backwards.
He was skilled for a Tawtute.
I quickly charged while he was down, but he quickly recovered, and fired three times before I pushed him to the ground. Listening to my rider, I grabbed his weapon and smashed it against a rock with my front legs, while holding him down with my other four. He wasn't finished though, and punched me hard in the face with his free arm, reaching for my rider with the other, who narrowly dodged. I turned and jumped at him, but he was prepared for it, and caught and threw me to a nearby tree.
I growled: the grey giant wasn't making this easy.
He pulled out a large knife, adopting a combat stance.
"Come on, come to papa!" He yelled with a sick smile on his face. I growled, but my rider willed me forwards. I jumped, but once again, he was prepared.
More prepared then I could have hoped for.
He held and stabbed me with his knife, hating the feeling as it pierced my protective skin. I thrashed and roared, but the evil Tawtute held his ground, stabbing me another two times before throwing me to the ground. The pain was overwhelming; I was barely able to move, trapping my Na'vi rider under me.
Well, you had to die sometime.
The Giant jumped holding the knife, before plunging it into my flesh. I let out a last roar, before darkness clouded my vision. I could faintly hear the howling of the Na'vi and the sounds of the metal demon. I then heard the voice of a male Na'vi.
"Give it up, Quaritch!" the Na'vi yelled, just as my spirit left me for Eywa.
What a strange day.
Please review, and please give some more dares or questions for Pandoran Truth or Dare. I can't write it if i don't get reviews!
Any contributions are greatly appreciated!
