no patch of blue
no heart-breaking relief
in the sky of darkness
not today.
His grave in winter
was never empty
and in the spring, it
hummed with fireflies.

the reference to the moon was Haru, whom under particular circumstances in the story he fell in love with, but after his death was able to move on with someone else dear to her heart...
