Trying this because I think Druna sounds like an excellent idea! Tell me what you think but don't flame, it's rude and I just ignore it. So here you go, a story about two very different blonds. –Love Sofie 3
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or anything else. Especially not Draco Malfoy, even though I would love to. Those eyes…. Tom Felton is soooo dreamy…. Ok movin on now! Enjoy!
The war was over, Voldemort defeated and everyone who was left safe. Luna Lovegood left the grand hall to get away from the bodies of people killed or hurt, even her dreamy personality could take so much.
She wandered into the forbidden forest to be around the thestrels, some of her favorite company. As she approached she heard a voice singing softly. She saw Draco Malfoy feeding one of the thestrals an apple as he sang a song.
"Hello." Luna approached him carefully as not to frighten him.
Draco was startled, not being very aware of his surroundings at that moment. He looked down at her, as he was about a half a foot taller than her.
"Hello…."
"You're Draco Malfoy." Luna stated.
"And you're Loony Lovegood." He said just as simply.
"Ginny doesn't like when people call me that."
"Well do you like it?" Draco asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You aren't being mean about it." Luna shrugged.
Draco eyed her, his almost silver eyes softer than she had ever seen them. "How do you know I'm not being mean about it. I'm a Slytherin, I am mean about everything."
"No you aren't. And you don't have to follow your house stereotype. I don't." Luna smiled softly.
"You're a Ravenclaw, and you're smart. How are you not following your house stereotype?" Draco still had a bit of softness to his eyes, but they were clouded with something Luna recognized as fear and self-hatred.
"I'm not smart with brains and books."
"But you have wit, and you are smart when fighting." Draco tilted his head at her.
"You are cunning and you made true friends in your house. That's really all that the house says a Slytherin should be. It says nothing about being mean and cruel." Luna pet the thestral he had been feeding.
"Why are you out here?" He asked holding out another apple to the thestral.
"Inside is sad and full of people who need to be with their families." Luna shrugged.
"Why aren't you with your family?"
"I don't know where my father is. I think he may have done something to anger the death eaters and gotten himself…." She looked at the thestral.
Draco put a hand on her shoulder. "I'm so sorry." He whispered against her hair.
"You didn't do it." She didn't move.
"I'm one of them. I was too much of a coward to stand up to them like you did." He whispered, his lips barely touching her hair.
Luna took his other hand in hers. "You aren't a bad person, Draco." She smiled softly.
He moved so he was looking down at her again, still very close. "Maybe you aren't so Loony." He muttered.
"Luna! Are you out here?" Ginny Weasley called through the trees, her voice getting closer with every word.
"I have to go." Draco let go of her and stepped away.
"Why?" Luna tilted her head.
"Goodbye Luna." He kissed her cheek.
