Summary-Chibi-Usa's thoughts as to why she becomes Black Lady

The Rabbit, Trapped
By Magoo

Princess Usagim Small Lady Serenity ran out of the crystal palace in tears. All of the
suffering, the loss of the ginzuishou, the near fatal destruction of Crystal Tokyo, her mother's
entrapment in the crystal shroud, the injuries of her father and the senshi-were All Her Fault!
She hadn't meant for any of this to happen. They couldn't blame her...could they?

"Who am I kidding," the princess thought to herself. "They're all going to be mad at me.
They'll all think that it's my fault. That Baka-Odanga-Atama Usagi will blame it on me. She
already blames everything that goes wrong in her life on me, even her lack of relationship with
MY Mamo-chan."

At her own mention of Usagi's name, rebellious images began to appear in her mind's eye.
Chibi-Usa did her best to ignore them. She was in such a royal temper that any thought of the
kindness Usagi had displayed towards her only caused more confusion. But the images still came
to her: thoughts of how many times Usagi had prevented her from being captured by the Dark Moon
Kingdom, and how much more Mamo-chan loved Usagi than her.

"NO!" Chibi-Usa screamed. "Usagi is the bad one-not me." With these words the little
girl broke into sobs, her pink flamingo ponytails drooping in the rain.

"Of course you are the good one little rabbit," a calm, mesmerizing voice called out.

"Who, who said that?" Chibi-Usa demanded.

"Why, I am your friend, the Wiseman."

"No!" Chibi-Usa shrieked. "You're the bad man who caused all this suffering."

"Why should you believe what your mother told you, little rabbit, if she doesn't really
love you?" stated the Wiseman simply.

The words cut through Chibi-Usa like a knife, piercing her straight through the heart.
All of her secret fears began to escape from the bottom of her soul where she had banished them.

"No! I don't believe you. My mommy loves me!" she snapped back at him, but those words
sounded hollow, even to herself.

"Oh really now," the Wiseman growled. "Well little rabbit, let me show you the TRUTH!"

Dark power began to flow from the Wiseman's hands directly into Chibi-Usa. Images of her
parents' supposed cruelty, how the senshi had wronged her, and imaginary abuse and neglect piled
up around her.

"No!" Chibi-Usa screamed. "Make it stop!"

Her words were oof no use against the rash of images. Then the images began to change-New
scenes, of the Wiseman picking her up after she had fallen and scraped her knees, the Wiseman,
who was always with her, always protecting her. And that little part of Chibi-Usa that was
jealous reached out to grab the hand of the man who promised her the unconditional love she
felt she had never received.
