Author's Notes: I'm thinking of writing a longer, M-rated fic out of this drabble.
Stay away from bad boys, her mother used to say. The kind of boy who led girls astray with honey-smooth words and magnetic smiles, the kind who banishes all rational thought with a single, lingering touch.
Stay away from bad boys, her friends used to say. The kind of boy who was dangerous for his dark past and his even darker allure, the kind whose glance was an invitation to indulgence and sin.
Not that boy.
But she could never stay away from those breathtaking eyes that gaze at her with such hunger and intensity, could never refuse those hot, questing hands that leave shuddering half-gasps in their wake.
The son of Reikai's lord was dependable. Nice and good and safe, with hair and eyes the color of solid, sturdy wood and earth.
Not that boy.
Her mind drifts to the brilliant red of blood and fire, to moon-silver white, to lush emerald green that flash-shifts to sharp, glittering gold.
That one.
