Everett Pines : The Lost

A SYOC inspired by the many greats on this site that I have seen. Rated T for Paranoia. The small town of Everett Pines in England never seemed to be a threat. They never thought if would be target from the anomalies attacking and trapping the children of the world. Evolution has continued in these children as they desperately need to survive the new world they're trapped in.

Chapter 1 : It's just a FAYZ.

The town was never silent. As it always was with most places in this day and age , but the noise irritates. That's what led General Prosser out of Everett Pines and into a quiet country retreat. The kids were with their aunt , so they should be fine. Yet , he was rather disgruntled when he received a call. The ringing shriek pierced through his ears and led to a cringe from Prosser. He sighed. Duty calls. He hoped to god it wasn't another anomaly. They were becoming more and more frequent. He listened to the operator. Another one!

"Fuck , not again…"

Then the location was told to him. Everett Pines.

Everett Pines.

Everett Pines!

General Prosser dropped his phone.

It was chaos in the ISAC (International Security Anomaly Center). The various desks circled around the geoscape. A holographic globe dominated the center of the room and across the global map it portrayed several yellow domes , of varying sizes al the way from the state of New York to Zimbabwe .

The General stomped in and began issuing commands.

"There! Zoom in on the Everett Anomaly"

Against the blue hologram , the yellow domes stood out. But this dome was bright red.

"The energy readings are way off sir! It's like the sphere is already expended. Like it's been funnelling the mutational power for-" A technician piped before being interrupted by Prosser.

"-decades" Prosser snarled. He should've seen this coming. Then he received a text. The kids has been out shopping. They were safe…..they were safe. But now , he had to focus his attention. This dome was very bad news.

A/N : Quite short intro chapter for my first fanfic but , y'know. I've been inspired by the SYOC's around here and I loved the idea so I decided to do one of my own. Expect imperfections and mistakes. I'm not perfect by any means and this is my first fanfic. But still , Gone fits this SYOC dynamic very well and I like the style so here we go.

I'm aiming for 25-30 characters and I'll start writing at about 20 and you can submit multiple characters. But , if you have multiple characters submitted , then others get priority over your extras for the sake of fairness. So if you submit 10 , don't be surprised if only 5 of them make it. I doubt anyone would submit that many but it's an example. Thanks for takin the time to read this and I'd like to thank the Marvellous Breadfish for a story that inspired me to create this!
