"Hey, Quinn, sit down." I heard my girlfriend Rachel say the second I walked through the door.

"Where's Bailey?" I asked letting her lead me to the living room.

"My dads have her." I sat on the couch and smiled until I saw Rachel was holding a remote in her hand.

"What is this about?"

"I did a little research online and found out about the child care situation at NYU." I nodded. We were both heading to NYU in a little than two months with Bailey and I had expected Rachel to do something like this. She proceeded to show me her slideshow that she created.

"Well, they have a day care that we should check out the first second we can because unless we're going to set up our classes around each other, which won't always work, we're gonna need to find someone to watch Bailey."

"I agree." I said smiling.

"Good and the best part is I think they'll cater to you because you're a single mom." My smile dropped and I stopped listening as I realized what she said. She didn't look at me as she continued to talk about some of the things the day care offered. Finally she looked up and met my eyes.

"What's wrong?" she asked concerned. I stood up and started heading toward the kitchen, but stopped in the doorway.

"I'm not a single mom, Rach, or at least I thought I wasn't."

"What do you mean? Puck's not being a father like he said he would." Rachel asked confused and it only made my heart hurt more.

I could feel the tears form in my eyes, but fought them as I said, "I thought Bailey had two moms. I was hoping you saw yourself as her parent." I walked away and leaned against the kitchen counter wiping away my tears just as Rachel entered the room and pulled me into a hug.

"Quinn, I didn't say that right. What I meant was that the school won't look at two women as the mom of your little girl and that they would see you as a single mother." She explained as I melted into her arms. I pulled away and looked into her eyes.

"No, you're fine. It's me; I shouldn't have assumed you wanted to be a second mom to Bailey."

"But I do!" she yells and adds in a quieter voice, "I do. I love Bailey as if she was my own and I love you. I don't want to ever be without either of you."

I smile and ask, "Can I ask you something then?" she nods and I look at her seriously. "Will you help me raise my daughter? Even if something happens between us can you promise me that you'll always be in her life?" I could see Rachel's eyes glistening with tears as she nods her head.

"Of course I will." She replied and she pulled me into a kiss that told me we'd be okay no matter what hit us.
