Monster from Within

This is a poem I wrote awhile ago and my friend said it reminded her of Final Fantasy Seven and told me it make for a great fanfic poem. So here it is even though I don't know what to think about it. - Just please read and review? I'd apreciate it. -

"Monster from within"

The asphalt falls from the sky,

then I hear the people as they get hit cry.

I'm bored as fuck out of my mind,

watching as this scene passes me by.

An up-side down world in front of my eyes,

this is encased in the cage of my mind

long before I had realized.

After years of the longest waiting,

a monster is set free,

and allowed once again to reek havoc on my dreams.

A memory of long ago,

one I thought I had forgotten,

but I guess it didn't want to think so.

Through the naive heart,

questions were asked,

then the answer sot refuge through my mind

beginning to warp.

A cold sweat covers the skin,

as I try to forget what I once wanted to know,

not wanting to remember it again.

Paper thin marks then show on skin,

a testament to the suffering not seen within.

A sleeve covers the marks,

hoping to hide them from others' hearts.

This person that I have become,

now walks down this rain soaked road as another one.
