OK this is my first Iron Man fanfic so go a little easy on me, please. Tony and Pepper are married in this I thought you should know. I DO NOT OWN ANYTHING - . - You got that. Ok enjoy my little one shot.
"OH Tony, please come back!" Pepper sighed, "It has been almost a week since he had gone out on that stupid mission and I want him to come home. We haven't even been home two days since our honeymoon and he has to go out on a mission?" Pepper could feel the tears starting to well up inside of her. She's noticed she's been a little more emotional lately. But a knock on the door interrupted the oncoming waterworks. Pepper slowly got up from Tony's bed, which was now hers, and went to the door.
"Good Morning Mrs. Stark", Happy said as she opened the door but his smile faded "You look awful Pepper."
Pepper frowned more, "Thanks Happy a woman always wants to hear that" her voice dripping in sarcasm but a hint of something else was there to.
"Are you ok Pepper?" Happy asked concerned.
Pepper could feel the water works coming up again 'no not now' she thought' "Y-ya I'm fine Happy…" She broke down, "No happy no I'm not ok I'm not ok at all and he might not be either" She wept.
It took happy a second to catch on but he knew what or more who she was talking about. He moved closer and put a reassuring hand on her shaking shoulder, "It's ok Pepper he'll be back soon."
"Happy it's been almost a WEEK and he's not back." Happy could see the worry in her eyes. Pepper quickly got her cool back. "I-Its ok Happy I'm fine, so what did you need?"Pepper asked still a little shaken.
"Oh I came to tell you that I was going to go on a three day vacation, but I won't if you don't want me to." Happy said.
"Oh its ok Happy go ahead and have a good time" Pepper said.
Happy asked "Are you sure Pepper?"
Pepper replied "Yes Happy I'll be fine."
"Ok Pepper I'll come back here after the vacation" With that he turned and started for his car.
"Bye Happy" She closed the door and turned to go back upstairs. She plopped down on the bed but shot straight back up and ran to the bathroom and empted the contents of her stomach. "What was that about?" After that episode she rinsed her mouth out and went to lie down on the bed and she fell asleep. She woke up an hour later and sat up but regarded it after she felt a sudden wave of dizziness come over her. "What is wrong with me" She thought of all her symptoms "I had nausea, dizziness, and I'm more emotional….oh my!" She sprang out of bed and went for the medicine cabinet and grabbed the test. "I'm so glad I bought these!" She took the test and waited for three minutes like the directions said. She slowly lifted the white stick and she saw on it what her suspicions suspected a positive sign. She was pregnant.
