Heya! Thanks for coming to read my oneshot. I hope you enjoy it.
I don't own Castle in the sky, Pazu, or Sheeta.
Matching Haircuts
"Please be careful, Pazu!"
Pazu stood above Sheeta with a freshly sharpened razor grasped in his right hand and Sheeta's soft hair in his left.
"You don't trust me! Haha! I know what I'm doing." Pazu wished he believed what he just said.
A patch of light rested of Sheeta's lap and bathed her face in an illuminating glow. The sun flooded the rustic wooden floors of the small living space, as the girl rested in a chair pushed towards the window. The house upon hill was the first to meet the rising sun in the morning, and the last to watch the sun elapse into the hills. It was a striking place to live, but Pazu couldn't help thinking how hot he was right now. Sweat dripped down his face in showers.
Even when Sheeta's pigtails were shot off, her angelic appearance remanded. He was just a grubby factory boy. What did he know about looking nice and cutting hair? He recalled the other day in agony:
'Pazu? Will you do something for me?' Sheeta said, standing in the doorway of Pazu's workroom.
'What is it Sheeta?' Pazu said, looking up from the mechanical work he was doing at his desk.
"Well…I don't know if you've noticed but I've been wearing a hat for the last couple of days. And I can't cover my hair forever."
"Take the hat off then." Pazu said, scratching his head in confusion.
"I can't! My hair looks terrible! It looks like a birds nest! Pazu! You have to do something!"
"No one is going to see it. Don't worry." Said Pazu grinning.
"You will see it." Said Sheeta sweetly and Pazu turned bright red.
"What do you want me to do?" he said all flustered
"You need to cut it more evenly."
"Me! Cut it! I can't!"
Sheeta looked at the floor sadly, "Okay, I guess I will try to do it myself."
Weighted down by her gloomy face Pazu said, "okay, I'll do it."
And Sheeta's face lit up as she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into a pleasant hug. Pazu, who could feel her petite figure pushing into him, blushed again.
"Yeah, I'll cut your hair…no problem." He said dreamily.
(End flashback)
"'No problem'…easier said than done…"
"What did you say Pazu?"
"Oh…nothing."
The razor shook in his hand as he brought the glimmering tip inches away from the tuft of hair in his hand. He could smell the scent of grass and earth in her hair, as he brought the razor farther away again. He battled in his mind to do it. How hard could it be?
This was so much harder than he thought it would be.
"Are you going to start Pazu?"
"Yeah…I'm…I'm just…you know…embracing the feeling of a hair dresser…Haha!"
He pushed the razor into the piece of hair and started to saw his way around her head. Brown strands of hair fell to the floor in clumps as he kept going.
'I think I got it!' thought Pazu.
'Nothing can stop me now! Opps, I forgot this piece and this piece. Oh know! This piece is a lot shorter. I'll just cut the pieces around it. Now those are too short. I can fix that.'
Snip…snip…snip. Sheeta sat patiently.
'Oh no! This looks terrible. It's so uneven. Look how short I cut this piece!"
Snip…snip…snip.
'There is no more I can cut! I hope she think it's okay.'
"Okay. I'm finished!"
Sheeta stood up and shook the strands of hair off her lap. She was feeling worried at the amount of hair that was on the floor, and her head felt strangely light. She turned to look in the window at her reflection. Was it Pazu's reflection she saw? No. He was standing next to her, with matching haircuts. Her hair was cut like a boys!
"AHHHHH! PAZU!"
Poor Pazu. : (
Thank you for reading and please review. I am considering writing a butch of short fics about this couple, so if you think I should continue, please tell me.
