Disclaimer: I do not own X or Tokyo Babylon or any of its affiliates
A/N: I've always love TB and X, and for a very long time, these have been my favorite series. The character development of these two series are very in-depth. Anyway, this is my first try, so please read and enjoy.
This is Hokuto's reflection about her unfulfilled wish to Seishirou, from my perception.
--------
Wishes that don't come true
Emptiness. Vacuity. An endless space. It was dark. Indeed, the darkness is so encompassing, so all-consuming that it seems as though any shred of light has been striped away from existence, leaving behind the vast and impenetrable blackness. Is this what it means to die? Is this what that is waiting for all the souls who will one day be divested of their bodies?
Or is it only for those who die in the hands of the Sakurazukamori?
Still, it is too late to regret now. She is dead, since nine years ago. She has chosen to die this way to save her brother's life. With her last breath, the last of her powers, she cast the final spell that bear her most important wish, her one and true wish.
And yet, that wish has not come true.
She knows, even from where she is, that the wish she had betted her life on, is not fully fulfilled. Even at this moment, she can feel it, quite acutely, the life that is draining out of one of her most important persons. Her killer. His special person.
Even though that is not unexpected, she cannot not help but feel greatly saddened.
Sei-chan
You made my brother cry /again/
You are always,
/always/
So selfish
Not unlike me, I suppose
Just like me,
You wish for Subaru to live
Like me,
You made him suffer
To fulfill your own wish
However,
Subaru /loves/ you
His love for you is stronger than his devotion to me
----------------------
You have misunderstood him, Sei-chan
Subaru cannot kill you, not because he is too kind to do so,
But because it is /you/
Like I had told you so many years ago in the hospital where you lost your right eye
You cannot understand then, because you cannot feel
You did not know, did you,
That one can hurt so badly that he has nothing left but a death wish?
You did not realized,
You're so /special/ to him,
he will accept whatever you do to him,,
that his feelings for you will /not/ change
Even if you kill him
But,
I had always known, of course,
I also know you'll come to love him one day
That's why I had made that "wish"
With my life
Despite knowing fully well,
It will not come true the way I wish.
Sei-chan...
I...
----------
That's all that is for this chapter. I've a part on what Hokuto would like to say to Kakkyou as well. For I've always feel that it was a great loss that Tokyo Babylon did not show any of Hokuto's dreams with Kakkyou, or even mention it at all.
Anyway, please kindly leave a review. Constructive criticisms are always appreciated
